What made the 2014 referendum possible was the law which gives peoples the legal right to freely choose their sovereignty and international status with no interference – and that is all.

Alex Salmond’s extremely gracious offer to allow the UK to put on a show of diplomatic collaboration was a completely unnecessary step that no law, precedent or convention required and still doesn’t. The only person who has ever blocked, obstructed or denied the people of Scotland their right to vote is the one who was given the democratic mandate to make the second referendum happen, Nicola Sturgeon. No one else has ever had the power to do that.

She’s also done every thing to wreck the idependence – yes – auob movement. Has tried to emasculate Alba, and of which SNP 1 and 2 killed the chance of a independence super majority of MSPs, preferring instead a minority SNP and returned Labour and Tory MSPs.

During the 2016-2021 period, when any genuinely pro Indy party would have been using its golden position to deliver independence – United movement, pro Indy former FM on great form, raring to go, about to take over the Scotsman, pro Indy QC in Westminster, blogs like Wings being top 5 U.K. political blogs Brexit, Johnson. Worse ever Tory gov etc – this SNP instead went all out to trash all those advantages. *Our* advantages, our assets, that we built while building them up as a party that would deliver independence and keep us in the EU.

They joined with the unionists to try and destroy and neuter Salmond, Wings, Cherry etc. This isn’t just an incompetent party: it actively acted against independence at the very best time for it and in a massive way. They did what the unionists never could alone. And far, far too many supposed independence supporters not only fell for it but cheered it on and continually keep on kicking the wrong people, even now.

Now, post 2021, they’re not even pretending anymore. They’re taking the remaining gullible idiots for what they are with the 2023 referendum and plebiscite lie. If by any chance they hold an indyref next year it’ll be to throw it or to ensure a U.K. driven horrific new form of devolution (which would really just change the constitution to kill off independence) is delivered.

I’d love to say we need rid of Sturgeon and her entire leadership clique but it is too late now. Five years of hounding out and neutering all the best pro Indy folk and replacing them with useless or worse place people is too long. It needed done before May 2021. I have no idea what we do now, but there is a massive danger in having these people in power now. Every year that passes they do more damage to the Indy cause.

On the subject of getting real. Note the reference above to Indy support at 52%.

Far too close for a savvy and serious Indy-minded FM to call for a referendum. I can’t be the only reader who recalls how Rev Stu has charted the flat lining of Indy support across the years since 2014.

Why all the convoluted explanations when the simplest one is so in our faces?

If NS survives (and who is stepping up to replace her?), she will call a referendum when she is confident Scots will vote Yes.

To follow any other plan would be madness. A second vote for No can’t be allowed to happen.

You think an independence campaign would lower it? The last independence campaign started with 28% indy support, and got it up to ~52% by a couple of weeks before the referendum, before it dropped back to 45% after the seriously dishonest and probably illegal Vow campaign. Even at the 45% mark, that’s still a healthy >50% increase on 28%.

Given all that has happened since then, especially brexit and its all its abusive consequences, a decent Scottish independence campaign would be practically unstoppable. Its primary problem isn’t support, it’s getting it started in spite of the SNP’s leadership dragging their iceberg-enclosed feet!

Given all that has happened since then, especially brexit and its all its abusive consequences, a decent Scottish independence campaign would be practically unstoppable.

Problem there is, in 2015 and then add in Brexit, we HAD an unstoppable YES Campaign, Brexit actually took us over the line and a Constitutional crisis the UK could not properly survive. Independence and inevitable International recognition were right there in the palm of our hands, until Sturgeon the Betrayer and Constitutionally illiterate imbecile, took hold of the reins and took it upon herself to capitulate and sell out Scotland’s rights and sovereignty.

She SHOULD have been booted out and damned to Hell right then, but all the SNP troughers, perverts and WGD type wet blanket apologists wouldn’t hear of it, and instead turned their fire and vitriol on the very people they should have listened to, those who were sounding the alarm bells about Sturgeon eight long and painful years ago. Just think of all the tortuous crap we’d have avoided by nipping this in the bud.

I’d support virtually anything for Independence, but hand on heart, if Sturgeon is anywhere involved in running the next push for Independence, through whatever channel that might be, then that push will feel like it’s deeply, deeply compromised from the outset. Sturgeon is simply too massive a liability to be trusted.

We NEED her impeachment, and if it was down to me, her criminal prosecution for what she tried to do to Alex Salmond. She’s a liar and a fraud. The Legal profession worked that out early doors and they effectively impeached her legal career. She’s not fit to be a divorce lawyer, yet she’s nominally in charge of Scotland’s Constitutional divorce from England, and royally screwing it up for Scotland.

    Not necessarily being ironic.

I just can’t believe that both of these statements are true:

    1) In Scotland, a convincing majority of Scots want and will vote for Independence.
    2) In Scotland, there are politicians and leaders willing and able to accept the democratic mandate of a convincing majority of Scots and lead Scotland to Independence.

The vast majority on here are convinced that 1) is True and 2) is False. That leads to the eternal dialogues on here, and ever more convoluted explanations in justification of these beliefs.

I wonder if 1) is False and 2) is True. It is uncommon to find any political movement that remains essentially leaderless once a majority of the people are in favour. That just is not how politics works.

But why argue about it? The truth or otherwise of 1) can be assessed by looking at the polls. How stands support for Indy today? Up, down, flat-lined, what? What is the trend? If it’s on the up, extrapolate the graph to when a convincing majority for Indy will exist.

    It’s not complicated!

Impeachment? Yes, yes and yes again.

    But how?

Well, setting aside the rights and wrongs of it, and sidestepping ‘foreign’ influences, in 1689 there was a body of opinion in Scotland which wanted rid of James VII, who formed a Convention of the Estates and voted to oust the King and remove him from the throne.

As I understand it, SALVO are trying to convene a new Convention of the Estates to further Independence, and circumvent a waste of space Holyrood, which of course is the A game primary objective, but I wonder whether there should be a supplementary drive to depose Sturgeon and / or severely limit Holyrood’s capacity to screw up a determined Constitutional Initiative.

We need clear understanding whether Holyrood stands or falls as “ours” or “theirs”, so Holyrood needs drawn off the fence on the Claim of Right. Tackling Sturgeons Constitutional ineptitude and abject failure / betrayal would be an expeditious way to bring the matter to a head.

What anybody can reasonably do in 2023 if no referendum is held is ask the question:

Does a clear majority exist in Scotland for independence?

If the answer is Yes, then desert the SNP en masse and vote for true pro-Indy parties (Alba), making damn sure that these are not carpet-bagged by the existing troughers.

If the answer is No, then sorry to have to break this to you, but no referendum should be held.

I get that SALVO has a firm handle on the constitutional case and is ‘daring’ all current SNP MSPs and MPs to support the Edinburgh declaration.

But we know what Sturgeon’s like – she’ll just ignore it.

What she can’t ignore is the growing resistance to the GRR Bill. Ash Regan has become a figurehead of sorts but there are strong principled women (and men) behind her who know that Sturgeon has their cards marked. They also know that the popular support ‘out there’ is with them. They have nothing to lose now.

Sturgeon has been on the run since that debate, pausing only to lie to the Public Audit committee before jetting off to Egypt to make an arse of herself. But she can’t keep running. And if the current judicial hearing is anything to go by (we should hear more on that later today) then professionals across civil service and legal bodies associated with Scotgov business will be working out how to put distance between themselves and her before it all goes properly pear-shaped.

If the Scottish government extinguished itself in 1707 by ( Agreeing ) to the Treaty of Union…( see UK parliament site, source of information)

1: Is the cancelled Scottish parliament in the treaty of union from 1707 to today?

2: How many Scottish members of a Extinguished Scottish parliament sit in the UK parliament as representatives of Scotland?

WHEN the English and Scottish governments in 1706 and 1707 respectively ( agreed ) not to ask the Scots to vote to join the treaty of the union,

1: Were the NATION of SCOTS, left outside the agreed terms of union between of the parliament of Scotland and the parliament of England by that decision?….(See UK parliament site information source)

2: Why did the English parliament and the Scottish parliament think that Scots maybe entitled to have a vote separate, on joining the treaty of union?

3: Why did the English parliament and the Scottish parliament consider the Scots to be a separate group entity from Scotlands parliament?

If the Scottish parliament was extinguished in 1707, there is no treaty of union between parliaments surviving the original agreement between the two parliaments….only the English parliament entered the new British parliament.
There can be no ( Acting )members of a extinguished Scottish parliament sitting in Westminster parliament since 1707 to present day…

    Simply said.

The agreement between the two parliaments for entering into the new British parliament did not complete its course,
The Scottish parliament ceased to exist in 1707.
The agreed treaty between the two parliaments therefore died with the extinguishing of the Scottish Parliament.
The English parliament continued it session until 1708 into the new British parliament.

The 1707 extinguished Scottish Parliament for the past three hundred years is no longer liable for the treaty of the union.
It can not be in the treaty of union if it has ceased to exist.

All it will take is a lack of political will and a yes movement beaten into submission after years of prevarication. We may be too stupid for independence after all. Indeed Geri, the SNP MPs are just too comfy in their positions at Westminster for them to end it, they’ve even given themselves ludicrous shadow titles, as if somehow, they’d be in government at Westminster, maybe that’s the dream they desire. Every one of them has put their own self and party interests before that of the people who elected them, every single one of them is in reality a Judas.

As for the SNP MSPs what can I say a useless bunch of troughers all spineless and gutless and of low character, they’ve kept their heads down and mouths shut, okay one resigned and a few voted against or abstained on the GRR big deal, where have they been since Sturgeon took power and promised to get us out of this vile union, nowhere that’s where, they’ve been heads down in the taxpayers trough as Sturgeon squandered mandate after mandate, and they did nothing when Sturgeon let Brexit pass her by.

The SNP MSPs are a bunch of charlatans, what kind of people who are elected by the public on the premise of helping their FM deliver independence stands idly by and say and do nothing as that FM goes about the business of destroying the indy movement and lying to the public for years that she’ll deliver it.

In my opinion there’s not one SNP, MSP or MP that’s worth saving, the good ones have already jumped ship those with a conscience and a bit of moral fibre saw the writing on the wall, it’s just the dregs that are left to clap like seals every time the betrayer speaks at FMQs.

    Breeks.
You make some sound points in you’re comments re Snp and NS,
    Also about laws.

However these points about the Snp and laws should be considered not under or in the treaty of the union, what legal bite do any of these laws have on Scotland since 1707?

If there is only one parliament in the treaty of the union, the English parliament, then everything else as Britain simply falls by the way in Scotland,
British Laws, British statues, British legislation, British maritime laws, this includes the Devolved government, the Crown in the devolved Scotland.
and anything else since 1707 Including the Snp in a english legislated devolved government, no need for impeachment as Breeks suggests.

On the other hand if Westminster parliament claim that the 1707 Scottish parliament is not extinguished…..Where is it? Why is it not in Scotland? Can Scotland still use it as a authority over the devolved government and the Snp.

The Scottish parliament is either not extinguished in 1707 or it still exists.

The UK parliament cannot escape this elephant in the room. It simply cannot have both scenario’s
And if it was extinguished AS THEY state,
There is no Scottish parliament In the UK parliament, There are NO Scottish members of Parliament, There is no Treaty with the 1707 Scottish parliament.

So do we still have a original Scottish parliament from 1707?

Hate to say it again but if ANY Independence Party prepares some financial projections for scrutiny, revealing that an Independent Scotland could stand on it’s own two feet, then the majority of Scots would vote to go it alone and, more importantly protest vigorously for the right to have the vote.
A score or so on here, playing the victim card, does not really cut it. Neither does airy fairy schemes around 300 year old guff that nobody, other than the usual folks, are interested in. I keep saying it but CHANGE WILL ONLY COME VIA THE BALLOT BOX!.

The SNP have produced various ‘papers’ which tell us basically nothing. Am uncertain if ALBA have actually produced anything? Doing so would be their greatest opportunity to attract people away from Sturgeon and the SNP but only if the figures stacked up to scrutiny!

I appreciate that the whole economic/financial scene is uncertain just now but once projections are produced it is relatively easy to amend at a future date in view of circumstances pertaining at that time.

No sane person is going to vote for Independence not knowing what this will cost to set up and how it affects their pocket thereafter. Trust me-it will all be fine is the SNP mantra. Does anyone really believe that other than those within the flock? Realistically, the costs are going to be far higher than any one is prepared to admit.

Meanwhile Sturgeon and the troughers plod happily along, increasing their bank balance and pension pots month on month.

Honesty is required from the Politicians, especially the SNP. The chance of this happening are about the same as me winning the Euro millions draw tonight, especially as I won’t be buying a ticket.

It is remarkably easy to moan on here, sometimes umpteen times per day, about the injustices and how unfair it all is. It has become a hobby to some.

I genuinely believe that the ‘men can be women’ and ‘women can be men’ is the beginning of Sturgeon’s demise. Who will fill the void when the SNP implodes?

This statement is ridiculous, and a white elephant for the UK parliament and the treaty of the union.

1: that by ( agreeing) to the union ( not actually completing the union) the Scottish parliament extinguished itself.
IF this is the case No Scottish parliament entered into the the British parliament.

2: IF no Scottish parliament entered the british parliament the union was never completed.
IT also means that the members of 1707 extinguished Scottish parliament are not representatives of the Scottish parliament then or now,
this would include the SNP that sit so comfy in Westminster.

3: If the 1707 Scottish parliament is still a legal entity in Scotland and is registered in Scotland today and represents Scots, where is it?
Do we require a devolved Scottish parliament if the 1707 Scottish parliament still exists
    Two parliaments in Scotland,?
The now devolved parliament in Scotland was not around in 1707; is english legislated and therefore not signature of the treaty of union.

4: if the original 1707 parliament of Scotland is extinguished as the UK parliament state and not to be found registered as the original parliament of and in Scotland,

I remain unconvinced that Salvo, Liberation and/or SSRG are going to produce concrete results faster than just getting on with it and pushing for indyref2, or preferably plebiscitary elections.

I still don’t see how these self appointed bodies are going to demonstrate their legitimacy either to the “community of the realm” in Scotland, or to the international community if that’s whose feet we are going to throw ourselves at?

You may well be right that Salvo’s advice is correct, but who is it from? Is it a secret? Who have Salvo and Liberation been talking to? Even if they are under an obligation of confidentiality not to release individual names of authorities they have consulted with, the process itself seems remarkably opaque. When Sarah Salyers had her stair heid rammie at the Alba conference, I saw these bodies mentioned in the post rammie analysis, but answers came there none. Who have they been contacting? However, like a lot of Scots – and I suspect the people, countries and governments abroad we will depend on for international recognition – I’m unconvinced there is some short cut to independence, or some clever legal wheeze that will allow us to simply walk away and declare UDI without you know….actually voting for it.

Yes it is deeply depressing. Holyrood may have a majority of MSPs from pro indy parties, but sadly it simply isn’t true that there are multiple mandates for independence, because that’s not what people were voting for.

We can insist that there are several mandates supporting Holyrood’s right to hold a referendum, and it’s true that polling shows >60% (which must ipso facto include some unionist voters) of Scottish electors think it should be entirely a matter for Holyrood to decide when and how often we hold referendums.

As for nothing getting done, the solution for that lies in the hands of voters. If the SNP are coming up empty, they need to punish them at the polls. It obviously hasn’t worked trying to change the SNP from within: the party is no longer fit for purpose, nor can it be rendered so.

It must either be replaced as the IPP was by Sinn Fein in Ireland a little over a century ago, or it must be made to come to terms with other pro-indy parties which have managed to deprive it of a majority. Realistically that can only be Alba, and the only practicable route to independence in the short to medium term is plebiscitary elections.

We (Scotland) didn’t sell it to them, a foreign countries government did, they also issued licences as well.

What is the difference between a plebiscite and a referendum?

Here is one of the explanations available: –
“Often, people do not understand the difference between a referendum and a plebiscite and use the words either wrongly or as a replacement for each other.
In very simple words, a referendum is the phrasing which describes what the vote is about. On the other hand, a plebiscite is the vote itself, that is, the election for the referendum.
A major difference between the two forms of voting on a particular issue is the initiation. Referendums are termed initiatives for a reason. Whereas the initiation of a referendum may not always involve those in power, as has been the case in citizen-initiated referendums in the past, a plebiscite can only be initiated by the representative authorities. The citizens do not have the power to initiate a plebiscite. This has an important implication. Since a plebiscite cannot be initiated by the citizens of the country, they are clearly no means of empowering the common citizens. They maybe even held in an undemocratic environment and the result ignored altogether.
Referendums cannot always be used to give further decision-making power to the authorities. Plebiscites, however, are sometimes used for the sole purpose of legitimizing a particular government decision by the people who would otherwise oppose it”

I’ll be honest and say that much of my grasp of this is, erm, blurred, and see it as unnecessary in a representative democracy.
That is, if my understanding of representative democracy is correct: that citizens elect representatives to make decisions on their behalf, in accordance with pre-election pledges. We have repeatedly commanded HR to hold a referendum, not for them to ask WM for permission, or threaten to introduce plebiscite mid-term. There is no ambiguity.

The fact that they have failed to do so simply means that Scotland is NOT a democracy. And anyone who thinks that Sturgeon will hold ANY plebiscite election, or Indy ref 2, is grasping at straws.

The SNP have publicly stated that winning a plebiscitary election only means giving them the right to ask the UK government (yet again) for a referendum.

‘There is no route to independence that does not involve the agreement of the UK Government’. Thus sayeth the SNP.

Following this ‘strategy’ is going to end up with Sturgeon back in power without having any scrutiny of her disastrous record or what she is planning to introduce with more trans issues or any other hellish legislation she wants to inflict on us.

It’s like writing a blank cheque for her to do as she likes – and it won’t be spent on independence.

I agree with your later post that the SNP MPs and MSPs are not going to do anything to get rid of her. Their living depends on them being voted back into office. For them Sturgeon is the cash cow, or the goose laying the golden eggs. No point in rocking the boat with such high earnings(?) at stake.

What to do? Only exposure at what she and those close to her did in the attempt to stitch up Alex Salmond, and the revelation that all those SNP troughers continued to support her even though they all know what had gone on and did nothing, would be likely to have an effect.

How to do it? A legal way needs to be found to get this information into the public domain. Until that is done this saga will continue to fester and remain a blot on Scotland’s ability to be regarded as a proper functioning democracy

The SNP are wrong. It’s part of them trying to assert control over the movement as a whole. That’s why the movement as a whole should resist the SNP trying to couch such elections as something they “own”, i.e. that only votes for them should count and/or that they can direct and control who stands for each seat in a plebiscitary election.

To be clear: victory in plebiscitary elections is game over. There is no requirement for a second step or a confirmatory referendum.

Alex Salmond said in the Edinburgh Wee Alba Book meeting that he felt the movement as a whole should be agreeing a slate of candidates for plebiscitary elections and that those elections should be couched as a single issue vote.

Trouble is, I don’t see Sturgeon’s SNP agreeing to that (or for that matter the Scottish Greens who have form for that kind of thing e.g. standing candidates in Holyrood constituency seats they have no hope of winning). The bar for victory in plebiscitary elections is the total of ALL votes for pro-indy parties. 50% + 1 = de facto independence. No ifs, no buts.

The UK government can certainly make things more difficult WRT blocking a referendum and/or threatening not to recognise the process. Like it or not, that will have an impact internationally. It’s far harder for them to block or impede a plebiscitary election however, which is why the movement has to pressurise SNP members and voters to force their party to co-operate with all pro-indy parties and ensure plebiscitary elections happen at Holyrood not Westminster.

They might not be ready to do that yet, but when indyref2 fails to materialise in 2023, Sturgeon will be exposed for the fake she really is.

That’s largely a matter for the SNP membership I’d say: I don’t think Sturgeon and her cabal are listening to the rest of the movement. Indeed they’re not listening to their party as their over-riding of the NEC results the other year amply demonstrated. I’ve said I don’t believe marches and demos will result in independence, not that they are totally ineffective.

FWIW I’d say the best way to change the minds of those who matter – which in this situation has to be SNP MPs, MSPs and office holders – has to be lobbying them and showing that they are losing support, and demonstrating that their support is falling in the elecorate and in polls.

Whatever Sturgeonite loyalists say in public, if they’re getting bombarded with folk at surgeries, on the street when they’re canvassing, and seeing negative impacts in bye elections and in the polls, that might encourage them to change policy.

If it doesn’t, the only plausible means is by giving them a bloody nose at the next elections which is the responsibility of voters as a whole.

    Andy Ellis.

There are two downsides to that argument. The first is that lobbying as you describe is an individual approach, when the collective is much more powerful. Lobbying is more likely to be ignored.
The second is that there is no hope of this type of approach being newsworthy. A large demo or march may, and I stress may, be reported in the media.

However, if we join up some dots, there may be a better understanding of the pro-Indy psyche and show that gatherings are significantly better.
On numerous occasions I’ve asked for an explanation of where tens of thousands of former SNP members have gone. It’s clear they haven’t gone to the other pro Indy political party, ALBA.

Yet, while SNP membership has all but vanished and Alba membership has stagnated at a worryingly low level, the YES/NO stats have remained constant for quite a while. That suggests two things: first, that most, if not all, ex-members are disillusioned with SNP but remain pro-Indy. The second is that these ex-members may be wary, perhaps for differing reasons, of switching allegiances to another Indy party, perhaps perceiving it as a clone of the SNP they once joined. Once bitten, twice shy?

Nearly all SNP voters are pro Indy – there is no other reason to vote for SNP unless you are part of the tiny woke faction – so we should not pour scorn on them. They are NOT coming over to Alba, but still, they are not the enemy. There must be room to accommodate ALL who support Independence, so unless Alba come up with something spectacular in the coming weeks, a new blueprint is essential to encourage as many supporters as possible to come together and demand a referendum, and that can only be as a united non- judgmental, non-political movement marching in unison.

    @Ebok 11.47 am

Hmm…I dunno if I agree with a lot of your assertions TBH. Individual lobbying can be effective, particularly if a given MSP or MP is getting a lot of it in their mailbags, surgeries and out on the doorsteps. This can be pretty effective, as we saw in the recent travails of the Tory party: a lot of Tory MPs were gauging how their constituency parties and wider electorates felt.

It’s true that large demonstrations can be a great boost, particularly as you say if they are reported and visible, but if they are relatively small they could even be counter productive. However much some folk like a good Yes march, they leave a lot of people cold, and we can hardly claim they’ve produced huge turnouts by any stretch of the imagination. If we were getting Catalan La Diada style turnouts, I’d be more convinced.

I can’t answer your question about where former SNP members have gone. I’d say most Alba members are probably ex-SNP members. I reckon a lot of the 125,000 claimed SNP members at their high tide members had never been party members before 2015: they joined thinking it would help propel us to indyref2 and hoped that brexit would break the back of the union, only to find out that the SNP had been captured by an unsavoury and unholy cabal of devolutionists, grey suited managerial neo-libs and TRA zealots.

Historically quite a few SNP supporters have NOT been dyed in the wool independence supporters: they lent their vote to the SNP based on their (then?) perceived record for competence in government – hard as that may be to believe now! – and the fact the yoon alternatives were worse. Refugees from NuLabour realised what side their bread was buttered on once Scots rumbled Blair and Brown. They saw that the SNP was now their route to power, cushy sinecures, quango positions and a seat on the gravy train.

Longer term, if Alba doesn’t replace the SNP the way Sinn Fein replaced the IPP in Ireland, we better hope the SNP membership and supporters can effect change in the SNP, or we may be waiting a real generation for independence. At the very least we need Alba to win enough support and seats to hold the balance of power, as there are plenty of people so scunnered with the SNP that they’d probably just not vote or vote against them if they were the only option.

“…the coroner was amazingly helpful. She told me that it was doubtful in the first instance that the cause of death would be found. Apparently this is not uncommon. This turned out to be the case. The original pathology report could shed no light on why she died. Yet the coroner told me that the pathologist assigned to my sister had never not found a cause of death. Toxicology reports stood a better chance of finding one.

…essentially it seems my sister died of viral pneumonia that was exacerbated by Covid-19, as microscopic elements of Covid were found. It is not a full answer but it is an answer. Of course we are left with questions; maybe they will be answered in the fullness of time…”:

HLA Class II Molecules Influence Susceptibility vs Protection in Inflammatory Diseases by Determining the Cytokine Profile:

    (Jan 15 2014):

    Abstract:

“The MHC in humans encodes the most polymorphic genes, the HLA genes, which are critical for the immune system to clear infection. This can be attributed to strong selection pressure as populations moved to different parts of the world and encountered new kinds of infections, leading to new HLA class II alleles. HLA genes also have the highest relative risk for autoimmune diseases. Three haplotypes—HLA-DR2DQ6, DR4DQ8, and DR3DQ2—account for HLA association with most autoimmune diseases. We hypothesize that these haplotypes, along with their multiple subtypes, have survived bottlenecks of infectious episodes in human history because of their ability to present pathogenic peptides to activate T cells that secrete cytokines to clear infections. Unfortunately, they also present self-peptides/mimics to activate autoreactive T cells secreting proinflammatory cytokines that cause autoimmune diseases.”:

Cell: Skewed Fate and Hematopoiesis of CD34+ HSPCs in Umbilical Cord Blood Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic:

    Published: November 10 2022:

    Summary:

“CD34 molecules, which are essential for the maintenance of the bone marrow and blood systems…

…the fate and functionality of CD34+ HSPCs are severely affected by the host’s health status, such as infection by a pathogen, and can cause stress-induced hematopoiesis in these HSPCs in the USB, which would make unprecedented concerns on the future of HSPC-based therapies.”

    Results:

“Both previous-SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination negatively impact CD34+HSPC frequencies and numbers in the UCB…

…the numbers of mononucleated cells (MNC) decreased in the non-vaccinated and vaccinated donor groups, even so more in combination with the vaccination and the presence of anti-N IgG more than 2-fold compared to the negative donor group…

To assess the recovery time needed for decreased CD34+ cell numbers of donors following the vaccination/infection to baseline as established by the negative donor group, the % frequencies and numbers of CD34+ cells per 1 mL of UCB against the days post-2nd vaccination were plotted. Both parameters were inversely correlated to the term following the vaccination, though there was no significance difference by the positivity for IgGs against SARS-CoV-2 S and N proteins, indicating that these impacts on CD34+ cells were largely caused by the vaccination…

The gene ontology analysis revealed major significant changes were seen in genes related to IFN-?-mediated signaling pathways, which includes HLA-class II genes, such as HLA-DQA1, HLA-DQB1, HLA-DRA, HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DRB5…”

    What is Money Laundering?

“The goal of a large number of criminal acts is to generate a profit for the individual or group that carries out the act. Money laundering is the processing of these criminal proceeds to disguise their illegal origin. This process is of critical importance, as it enables the criminal to enjoy these profits without jeopardising their source.

Illegal arms sales, smuggling, and the activities of organised crime, including for example drug trafficking and prostitution rings, can generate huge amounts of proceeds. Embezzlement, insider trading, bribery and computer fraud schemes can also produce large profits and create the incentive to “legitimise” the ill-gotten gains through money laundering.

When a criminal activity generates substantial profits, the individual or group involved must find a way to control the funds without attracting attention to the underlying activity or the persons involved. Criminals do this by disguising the sources, changing the form, or moving the funds to a place where they are less likely to attract attention…”:

Committee on Oversight and Reform: November 17, 2022: A President Compromised: The Biden Family Investigation:

    Executive Summary:

“During the 2020 presidential campaign, then-presidential candidate Joe Biden assured the American people he was not involved in his family members’ multi-million-dollar global
    business deals…

Evidence obtained by Committee on Oversight and Reform Republicans shows these assurances were false. President Joe Biden has participated in his family’s global business ventures with America’s adversaries. He has misused his public positions to further his family’s financial interests. These actions have created the potential for President Biden to be susceptible to influence, blackmail, or extortion by a malign or foreign entity…

A review of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, as well as information from whistleblowers, reveals a decade-long pattern of influence peddling, national security risks, and political cover-ups. Biden family members used their connections with Joe Biden to enrich themselves through the expectation of access to Joe Biden… There are numerous unanswered questions raised by these suspicious activities that warrant further investigation.

…the media’s response to Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop—full of documents detailing suspicious business deals worth millions of dollars—was not to report this information, but to hide it…

…investigation has uncovered evidence demonstrating deliberate, repeated deception of the American people, abuse of the Executive Branch for personal gain, use of government power to obstruct the investigation and prevent transparency, and potential violations of the United States Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause.

…a complex network of relatives and associates to enrich the Biden family—has exposed the United States to national security risks that could be leveraged by our enemies to undermine the Office of the President…”:

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (16/11/2022): Earth can regulate its own temperature over millennia, new study finds:

Scientists have confirmed that a “stabilizing feedback” on 100,000-year timescales keeps global temperatures in check:

“The Earth’s climate has undergone some big changes, from global volcanism to planet-cooling ice ages and dramatic shifts in solar radiation. And yet life, for the last 3.7 billion years, has kept on beating.

Now, a study by MIT researchers in Science Advances confirms that the planet harbors a “stabilizing feedback” mechanism that acts over hundreds of thousands of years to pull the climate back from the brink, keeping global temperatures within a steady, habitable range.

Scientists have long suspected that silicate weathering plays a major role in regulating the Earth’s carbon cycle. The mechanism of silicate weathering could provide a geologically constant force in keeping carbon dioxide — and global temperatures — in check. But there’s never been direct evidence for the continual operation of such a feedback, until now…

The results are the first to use actual data to confirm the existence of a stabilizing feedback, the mechanism of which is likely silicate weathering. This stabilizing feedback would explain how the Earth has remained habitable through dramatic climate events in the geologic past…”:
