We’ve included comparisons for a year ago as well as a month ago, because those are the ones we’re really startled by. This time last year the referendum was just six weeks away, whereas now we’ve just had two months of post-election summer and a hefty chunk of recess with no indyref campaigning to fill the gap.

We’ve also taken the opportunity to recharge our own batteries a bit after three and a half years of pretty much non-stop work (June and July 2015 saw just 117 posts on Wings compared to 184 last year), yet despite this period of shameful slacking we’ve still added almost 80,000 extra readers over that 12-month term.

We honestly didn’t expect that. But it looks as though Scotland’s political awareness and engagement, once awoken, doesn’t feel like going back to sleep any time soon. Once again, thanks for reading, for sharing, for all your comments and tip-offs, and of course for the astonishing financial support. As long as you’re here, we will be too.

    Good stuff

    Cant imagine life without wings

  2. RogueCoder says:

Impressive, Rev! The continued growth in readership is testament to “the Scottish question” not going away any time soon and support for indy remaining high.

The quality of the articles and analysis remains impeccable, so despite you “taking it easy”, you still seem to put in more graft than I manage in an average day! 🙂

  3. ronald alexander mcdonald says:

I think we’re running out of superlatives.

The success is mostly based on you’re outstanding journalistic abilities and the widespread corruption of the MSM.

  4. Simon Chadwick says:

Well done! You deserve praise for this. Now get back to work!

  5. ronald alexander mcdonald says:

    your even

  6. manandboy says:

Wings – there’s nothing to beat it!

    Congrats on those figures, Stu.

  7. woosie says:

It’s now the first site I visit when I get home at night. I used to be one of those brainwashed masses who simply accepted that the press couldn’t be lying, the gov wouldn’t allow it. It’s only since I started viewing WOS I realise the uk gov actually REWARD IT!

Talking of rewards, good to see the system is consistent, and yet another brainless ukok mouthpiece got her peerage.

  8. Marcia says:

‘..Scotland’s political awareness and engagement, once awoken, doesn’t feel like going back to sleep any time soon.’

The genie is out of the bottle and won’t be going back in at all.

  9. Cuilean says:

‘As long as you are here we will be too’.

    Thank Christ.

  10. Quinie frae Angus says:

Wings is worth every single penny. Wish I had more to give.

  11. galamcennalath says:

Up very substantially since this time last year … that is an astonish achievement. Well done!

It is a very good indication of the political health of the nation! More and more people becoming engaged, aware and seeking out the wider picture. Bodes well for our future.

  12. K1 says:

Well done Stu, you are quite literally a haven of sanity in a world gone mad. Can’t express the deep gratitude that I feel for yourself and all the commenters who have made Scotland one of the best countries in the world to be from and live in during this historical period that we are all a part of.

We will get our independence, I am so proud to be a small part of a movement that’s focus is resolutely on social justice and care. You have all reminded me constantly of the goodness within humanity, we are all the change we wanted to see, it’s happening! 🙂

  13. Kevin Evans says:

I am surprised at that – mind you last night up in Nairn I was talking referendum in the pub and recommended this site to someone who had never been here. And they were major yessers.

  14. ThemadMurph says:

Until we have independence, we’ll be here and then done.

  15. Macart says:

Proof, if any were needed, that word does get around. 😉

  16. dakk says:

Broadening the coverage to appeal to UK Labour voters may also have helped the numbers.

I’d be interested to see the breakdown by geography,of new recruits.

After all there’s no point just talking to ourselves.

Well done . Forza Wings !

  17. Gordon McAllan says:

Congratulations on building such a strong and committed readership. “Wings” has been, for the past year, a significant, intelligent, accurate and informative component in the New Scottish Enlightenment.

  18. Steve Bowers says:

    Great stuff Rev, keep debunking

  19. Robert Roddick says:

Your posts are very much appreciated. In the face of all the nonsense from the MSM,not to mention the BBC, I look forward always to your analysis of the situation. After a fair bit of agonising, the Herald finally made it easy for me to cancel my subscription. In discussion with my old journalist pal, we were wondering how long it would be before The National becomes the major Newsquest title. I post all of your pieces to Facebook and try always to make people aware of your presence. Many thanks again.

  20. Mealer says:

    dakk 2.05,
I actually think it is important to talk amongst ourselves. Its a great, big conversation and draws other people in,who in turn spread it out.Independence is alive and kicking.Well done Rev.

  21. handclapping says:

Take 14 days off; Doug Daniel ed, pieces by Chris Cairns, Ponsonby and Robertson analysing a Bird on the wing, invite Madox, Massie and Cochers, get some of our own to do their bit. Is Conan up for it?

Who else would Wingers like to see doing a proper piece? Nail Captain Caveman?

    Dont look at me!

  22. galamcennalath says:

    Gordon McAllan says:
    “New Scottish Enlightenment”

Now that’s a nice phrase. It encompasses not only engagement in politics, but also arts, culture, society etc.. A nation reborn. A nation rediscovering itself.

I googled it and there doesn’t seem to be a lot.

    Let’s get that phrase established!

  23. Itchybiscuit says:

I’ve been posting links to my FB group of American friends. There are only 110 of them and they don’t all read it but every little helps, eh?

Because we all met through politics they’re all pretty switched on and enjoy your articles immensely. The amount of times I’ve heard ‘Britain is becoming more like America’ doesn’t bear thinking about.

Thanks for being there for us all. :o)

  24. No no no...Yes says:

Ticking long indeed. Wings “is” the pulse of the wider scottish independence movement and although progress is being made, there is much still to do.

This website and increasing its readership is important to ensure more people become aware of the position Scotland is in due to mismanagement of our resources by a broken Westminster system and biased reporting by MSM. It’s a sair fecht, but it will be worth it.

  25. Famous15 says:

I am warning you Stu,if you put Michelle Moan on page 3,that is it,I’m outa here!

  26. heedtracker says:

Well done WoS! The sun’s even come out here in Aberdeen. WoS daily makes the whole UKOK media freak show in Scotland and England, look like what they really are and they love you for it too:D

    Thanks Stuey.

  27. grahamlive says:

“As long as your here we’ll be here too” . Something the late great Stuart Adamson often said during gigs.

Anyway, more power to your elbow Stuart. Long may this site continue. 🙂

  28. brewsed says:

One of those unique visitors must be me. Reach round and give yourself a well deserved pat on the back. And consider how things have moved on since reviewing Amiga and Commodore software. Meanwhile one of the consquences of Wings (and a wee dug) was that, last week, I ventured onto the roof, removed the TV ariel, descended and then cancelled my TV licence. Now awaiting the the knock on the door.
    Cheers and thanks.

  29. John devine says:

I firmly believe that this site is the best journalistic site on the internet. it puts all main stream newspapers to shame in comparison so….

    keep up the great work.

  30. Scott Shaw says:

Let me use my first post to congratulate you Rev. Been a silent observer for the last 2 years and enjoy the site very much. Cheers.

  31. The Flamester says:

I’m hooked on Wings – well done.

  32. steveasaneilean says:

I hope that when we do eventually get independence Wings or something similar will carry on. Afterall even an independent Scotland will have a bunch of politicians and journalists needing held to account on a regular basis.

  33. mogabee says:

Where the hell else can we go? 😀

  34. heedtracker says:

Howsabout a new slogan, you know like The Guardian dropped their “facts are sacred” C P Snow thngee for “We’re just another bunch of Britnat Toryboys only a tad wetter with silly facial hair.”

  35. Papadox says:

    @Famous15 says 2:34 pm.

If we get Lordy sewer on page 3 then we (or the Rev) will really be up the proverbial creek! God bless HMQ and her Government. England’s finest ra ra ra. (Nae clappin NOO)

  36. Dr Jim says:

When you consider the overwhelming Print Media and BBC power pouring out constant vitriol on a daily basis against the very thought of self determination

At least in England the Labour party is questioned by the media, here in Scotland they never are, every word they utter is greeted with revered forelock tugging and sounds of (When will our saviours return) SNP bad

Scotland is doing to the Labour party what we did to the Tories when they betrayed us and Wings has played an enormous part in that effort by outing the corruption and lies used to deceive the electorate

The increase in readership confirms it and it’s well deserved
For services to Scotland Rev Stu will never be Knighted or Ennobled, in fact if they could they’d probably have him arrested, 30 years ago he might have vanished and ended up in a field somewhere after having shot himself in the head from 10 feet away ( Coz sometimes that can happen)

Wings, now has become a first read of the day for me and a massive amount of others
How cool is that to overtake a multi billion pound organisation like the BBC as the news folk consider more important and truthful

Now don’t get big headed Stu just get on with it, coz that’s what seems to work

  37. snode1965 says:

Those figures are brilliant Stu! All your hard work on our behalf is paying off big time.
When mainstream journalists like Massie feel the need to respond, within hours of a WOS roasting, that’s when you know you have influence!

  38. Sassenach says:

Until July 2014 I used to have BBC news as my ‘Homepage’ – there, I’ve confessed (sometimes wish I was Catholic, so it could have been done proper-like!).

Then I found WoS and my life changed, generally lifts me when down and curbs me if I get too over-enthusiastic!!

Excellent user figures, how you manage such a great site is beyond me – but all power to your elbow. Carry on!!

  39. BigMac says:

Now ignore newspapers, ignore Radio and TV news and politics. Rely totally on Wings and other Facebook pages to keep me informed.
You are doing a great job for us.
Keep us informed re financial needs. Have still to donate to one or two other contributors but trust Wings above all others.
    Thank you.

  40. fred blogger says:

    great stuff.
    life without wings, unimaginable.
ps since when has been a quest for freedom been a cult?

  41. Mushypea says:

In my household 4 people read Wings from the same IP address. If you think of the number of households that do the same, your figures are probably underestimating your success.

  42. George Quin says:

Although i dont comment much im usually lurking around here every day stu and i admire your dedication to the independence cause seems unshakeable.

since the indy ref i have been awakened to the false reality
that we are not powerless to challenge the powers that be we never were we were just brainwashed into believing that nothing could change, now look at us were all awake now and i for one am planning on staying awake.

God knows where we’d be if not for sites like yours.

Kind regards from a devoted lurker.

  43. Finlay says:

Rather large cult you have here Stu! 😉

  44. CameronB Brodie says:

Ignorance is bliss. The Rev. is an enemy of bliss. Down with this sort of thing. 😉

  45. cearc says:

Well done laddie, you’re doing a grand job.

  46. CameronB Brodie says:

How many of these readers are stooges operating in government departments and the security services.

    Just a thought. 🙂

  47. Lollysmum says:

Please help if you can spare it to get this up & running ready for indyref2. Just 16 hours left & 64% funded so far.

  48. Croompenstein says:

Well done Stu as long as you’re here doing your stuff we will fund you.

btw when you open the Wings twitter feed on a new browser tab the name is displayed as ‘Kings Over Scotland’. I know you’re good but I widnae go that far 🙂

  49. john king says:

    Famous15 says
“I am warning you Stu,if you put Michelle Moan on page 3,that is it,I’m outa here!”

Cumon noo lets no be too hasty F15. 😉

  50. Lollysmum says:

Sorry Rev-how ignorant of me 🙁 forgot to mention your latest stats.

Well done Stuart-increasing the reach of Wings can only be a good thing. I’ve just had 2 weeks with virtually no access to WOS so now making up for it trying to read up on all I’ve missed 🙂

Keep up the brilliant work- we’re with you all the way 😉

  51. GallusEffie says:

    Splendid and encouraging statistics.

If they’re Yes voters, they’re getting more good info to back up their position.
If they’re no voters, they’re getting good info to help reform their position.

Would love to know if something “clicks” for them. Make themselves known so we can help with concerns. My Trident renewal zoomer yesterday certainly softened yesterday after referring him to Scott Minto’s excellent Chocolate Teapot, tho’ he hasn’t reported back about it yet. Pointed out that the arguments of “We need it because we need it”, and “ooh unemployment” were pretty poor.

    Long live Wings!

  52. Take Independence says:

The truth is out there. Thank’s Wing’s for bringing it in to the public domain.

  53. Schrödinger's cat says:

  54. Croompenstein says:

Sorry Stu been out and just catching up I just watched your special episode of Grand Designs I think that was London you were in, good stuff 🙂

  55. Stuart you are underestimating the effect you and your team have had on the people of Scotland. I look forward to your items everyday like a druggy to his methadone. Keep up the good work

  56. Tony Little says:

    !!Sycophant ALERT!!

Perhaps the simple truth is that this site offers proper investigative journalism and that Scots actually want something that responds to that simple requirement. I want objective reporting based on FACTS, not Opinion mascarading as “News”.

The SNP and SG need to be held to account, but the media in Scotland has lost any real objectivity. This site provides a far more objective spotlight on Scottish politics. Long may it continue

  57. Kevin Lynch says:

If Fox news saw this. They’d say you deserve a sandwich.

  58. maureen says:

Don’t comment much on wings but am on here reading the latest posts daily. Wings has become an integral part of my life and I look forward to reading everyone’s’s an online community that is much needed post referendum. Definitely keeps my spirits up!

  59. Robert Louis says:

So, slag off Scotland and get a peerage with the power to make laws, no matter how ridiculous and untalented you are. And they call this a freaking democracy.

Michel Mone, general nobody, Scotland denier, unelected and unaccountable member of the UK legislature.

I seriously spent most of today thinking this was a joke. Unfreakingbeleivable. Bought and sold for London’s gold.

    Who’s next Ian Smart?

  60. jcd says:

Here’s my little tuppence worth. Up till a few years ago I watched the bbc news channel and read a couple of broadsheets now and then, and considered myself reasonably well informed. Duh, what a moron I was.

Now if I want to know about anything important that’s happening in Scotland I come straight here. I haven’t so much as glanced at any bbc/msm “news” or “current affairs” programmes for years now, and can’t understand why some people here still do. (Obviously that doesn’t include the likes of Rev Stu whose professional interest dictates that they must).

  61. teuchie says:

First read every day. The site I recommended to everyone during the campaigns.

Thank you from the bottom of my teuchter heart.

  62. call me dave says:

Well done all the marchers and supporters in Glasgow today.

  63. Capella says:

Best tuppence ha’pennyworth I ever spent.

WoS is my first stop whenever I want to read some real news. The articles, and the excellent comments, set the tone for the day. None of the MSM can do that because their agenda is not news and comment but manipulation and deceit.
They just give us “The News Where You Are”.

Well deserved increase in readers Stu.

  64. louis.b.argyll says:

    Wings Over Scotland…

Essential reading for anyone with even a hunch that mainstream media outlets are misrepresenting public opinion…directing us into accepting a false future.

  65. Flower of Scotland says:

Great stats Rev. I visit Wings many times during the day, even when I’m abroad. Just back from visiting family in the USA, and Wings was the site that kept me up to date.

I don’t post much but use others posts and links. It’s a fab site. Well done!

  66. snode1965 says:

O/T watching the woman’s open golf fae Turnberry, they are flying the largest saltire I have ever seen in ma puff!…can’t help smiling.

  67. Truth says:

Some might say you’re doing this deliberately Stu.

Thanks again for everything. Just wish this site could snowball even more and become mainstream. We’d be independent in a jiffy.

  68. john king says:

Thinking about how little Mone did to get a title, I’ll bet Blair McDougall is going off his head! shame eh? 🙂

  69. dougiekdy says:

I like this one! Will be tweeting the arse off it!

    Gordon McAllan says:
    “New Scottish Enlightenment”

Now that’s a nice phrase. It encompasses not only engagement in politics, but also arts, culture, society etc.. A nation reborn. A nation rediscovering itself.

  70. The Moidart says:

What’s really encouraging about today’s thread is not only the amazing figures printed by Stu… Awesome by the way!!! But the amount of people posting who don’t usually. Brilliant!! Wings is the light at the end of the tunnel. And one day we will say.. We were there!! Heartfelt thanks to everyone on here. Keep up the great work people.

  71. Clive Scott says:

Great to learn of the continually expanding reach of WOS. Well done Stuart! Look forward to your take on the enoblement of the fatuous Michelle Mone rewarded for her loathing of Scottish progress towards self determination.

  72. The Moidart says:

Call me Dave… I estimate there were at least three thousand there today. Everything was brilliant. Not one angry word. Lots of kids. Drummers were fantastic. And so were the bikers. Two eejits pulled out a SDL flag for a selfie but they were just a pair of bottens!!! And were told as much!!

Effie…. How are you and the bold Joff and the family?? Hope you are all well.

  73. Brian Powell says:

I was thinking maybe we could crowd fund Mhairi Black to live in the flat next to M Mone for a couple of months.

  74. Helena Brown says:

I seem to remember some Unionist saying how the site’s numbers were down a wee while ago, well you and a wee pat on the back for all who contribute, he is really wrong. Well done Wings, and may I apologise for sending Sensible Dave along, well he is a star turn is he not.

  75. Ian Brotherhood says:

    @call me dave –

    Thanks for the link.

Good images. Interesting comments too – the whole blood and soil pish still going strong. That seems to be all the BTUKOKers have left.

  76. call me dave says:

    @The Moidart

I enjoyed watching it on livestreaming and got from the start to well into the early afternoon and it looked a good turnout.

    But: In the Hootsman:
Labour’s shadow Scottish secretary Ian Murray said politicians’ focus should be on the challenges in Scotland’s public services, “not yet another argument about where power lies”.

Scottish Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser said last year’s vote should have settled the issue and that the SNP “need to start addressing the real problems in Scotland including poor educational attainment and a crisis in the NHS”.
Aye they can’t handle it or can work out why it’s not over. 🙂

  77. msean says:

Looks like Scots are continuing to wake up in numbers, well done.

  78. Brian Powell I would pay the fare myself to hear Mhairi put that “lady” in her place

  79. McDuff says:

Its all down to you Rev, Wings has created the voice of truth in Scottish politics and offered an alternative to the sewer that is the MSM. Thank you.

  80. Croompenstein says:

    @Helena –

apologise for sending Sensible Dave along, well he is a star turn is he not

He sure is Helena he’s a bad star turn 🙂

  81. Patty F says:

Long time reader but first time commentator would like to say
Congratulations on these great results.Wings is the only site I trust to inform, educate, delight and inspire me.Thank you for your tremendous work

  82. john young says:

Keep up the excellent work onward and upwards.

  83. john young says:

Keep up the very good work.

  84. galamcennalath says:

“apologise for sending Sensible Dave along, well he is a star turn”

We’ve all heard the tales where bad English comedians were give a really hard time in Glasgow variety theatres many years ago. Perhaps this is just the 21st equivalent. 🙂

  85. fillofficer says:

its a disgrace that so many of us have to visit (& fund) this separatist site for cutting edge analysis of current affairs, when we already pay a corporation to do exactly that. the corporations failure to do so is the reason your viewing figures are so unbelievably high. so therefore, I do believe you owe them…..hahahahaha

  86. alexicon says:

    Good news for all concerned.
Maybe the reason for your high figures is that people are anticipating the next referendum date.
I can feel it and I’m sure many others do also.
We are simply not going to go away, much to the unionists despair.

  87. call me dave says:

“I still have hope” says no hoper! 🙂

“They want to take our seats. They are doing the boundary review. I believe they will bring it down from 650 to 600 on individual registration that they are bringing forward by a year, and they want to ensure we never win in England again by ratcheting up the rhetoric, aided and abetted by the SNP, and we have to be ruthless in not allowing them to do so.”

  88. galamcennalath says:

    fillofficer says:
“cutting edge analysis of current affairs …. the corporations failure to do so is the reason your viewing figures are so unbelievably high”

I will stick my neck out and make a prediction …

Wings over Scotland will be around longer than BBC Scotland 🙂

  89. john king says:

    Brian Powell says
“I was thinking maybe we could crowd fund Mhairi Black to live in the flat next to M Mone for a couple of months.”

You would inflict THAT creature on wee Mhairi?

  90. call me dave says:

It doesn’t have to be like this…does it?
The future and beyond darwn Sourff! 🙂

Hope we’ll be gone by then.

  91. dakk says:

And if you keep up this stellar service to journalistic integrity Stuart, you should be due all the accolades available.

How would Baron Campbell of Wookey Hole MBE,and one of Michelle Mone’s pink bras fit. 😉

  92. The Man in the Jar says:

    Aye. Yer no so bad!

    @Marcia says: 1 August, 2015 at 1:41 pm:

” … The genie is out of the bottle and won’t be going back in at all.”

More like the sleeping Scottish Wildcat has awoken, yawned, stretched and unsheathed its claws. Now it is only a matter of time before the rending and tearing of flesh and revenge for the enforced oppression.

“Nemo me impune lacessit”, This was the Latin motto of the Royal Stuarts. It has since been adopted by the Order of the Thistle as their motto. Also by three Scottish regiments of the British Army. The motto is also on the Royal coat of arms of the Kingdom of Scotland and again as a part of the version of the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom used in Scotland.

In English it translates as, “No one cuts, (attacks), me with impunity”. In Lallans Scots it owersets as, “Wha daur meddle wi me”. I have it on good authority that the Gaelic owersettin is, “Gaelic Cha togar m’ fhearg gun dìoladh”, (but I’ll just have to take my Gaelic speaking friend’s word for that).

  94. Lochside says:

Well Done Rev.!…You deserve Scotland’s overwhelming gratitude for your resilience, strength of purpose and unerring analysis and pursuit of the truth. And for giving a platform for Scotland’s hitherto unheard voices.

  95. Joemcg says:

Is it true if Mundell kicked the bucket Mone could become Secretary of State?? Jeez.

  96. GallusEffie says:

Moidart…I was sorely tempted to come over to Glasgow today and meet some of you but I’m toiling a wee bit mentally.

I could go into it more, but here is not the place, except to say we’ve lived an extraordinarily stressful life since 2009, over and above the physical and emotional stresses looking after Joff brings. I feel close to beat more and more often at times. I can’t explain it better than that.

Thank you so much for asking, it feels good that someone’s thinking of us.

Himself is fine, just a wee bit cough still. He is going into residential respite next week from Monday to Friday so a good wee break for me away from caring.

    Next Saturday he turns 21.
A milestone we never expected in those very early days.
I’m going to take the time to do a blogpost about him during the week, he’s such an extraordinary wee cratur and deserves his tale to be told.

  97. john king says:

    Lochside says
“You deserve Scotland’s overwhelming gratitude for your resilience, strength of purpose and unerring analysis and pursuit of the truth. ”

don’t forget his indefatigably, no really, if ever an appellation was deserved!

Going by the numbers of what seems to be a regular shift pattern of, (probably Brigade 77 commenters), we just may be on the Establishment’s RADAR system. The troll numbers did seem to suddenly increase and maintain at least a watching brief.

I’d be interested to see the breakdown by geography,of new recruits.

After all there’s no point just talking to ourselves.

Well done . Forza Wings !

    There’s another one, thanks John.

    Countess Littlemone.

I never thought I’d say this, but in a grim sort of way I’m starting to appreciate David Cameron’s sense of humour. These days, when it comes to Scotland, all Cameron wants to do is take the piss.

@John King..’don’t forget his indefatigability’…alright John…’Stu, I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability’……NO?…leave that particular phrase to the feline phoney Ukok Galloway eh!

  103. Bob Mack says:

Wings has become my ONLY source of political news and opinion. It is read by me first thing in the morning and throughout the day. Thanks Stu.

  104. Conan_the_Librarian says:

    @ Handclapping

My God, I’d thought I’d dissipated, like all of us original cybernats from the Scotsman. Cheers.

I never ran a website that the *serious* nationalists had in their wee polls, fair enough.

But I tried. And others came after me.

O/T: This is a very long article. Compilation took 3 days, but I feel it is worth it exposing the sickness that is Westminster

  106. The Moidart says:

Effie… You were there in spirit as were any who couldn’t be there. I’m fortunate as I live in North Glasgow and finished work at nine. You don’t ever have to thank me as it’s a privilege knowing people like yourself. As Stu already indicated and the earlier posts confirm, the wings family is getting bigger every day. Events like today draw us together. As do events from London. You do an amazing job for Joff and others. Many on here appreciate that. You just keep being you.

  107. Ken500 says:

Well done Rev Stu. People applaud you. Thanks

Blue Mone and Hard Carmichael what an affront pair.

Great March Glasgow keeping the pot boiling and the feet to the fire. Thanks.

  108. sandycraig says:

Just another word of thanks. Amazing figures, and as the younger generation are more involved online than the oldies, they can only go higher.

This site makes people question everything the msm put forward.

  109. jackie says:

well done, my home page and repost posts all the time, keep going 🙂

  110. cearc says:

    Conan tL,

Don’t be so modest, your Scotsman front pages were legend.

  111. Rev. Stuart Campbell says:

“In my household 4 people read Wings from the same IP address. If you think of the number of households that do the same, your figures are probably underestimating your success.”

Well, swings and roundabouts, innit? Some people read both at home and at work, and are therefore registered as two when they’re only one. So I just assume that it all roughly balances out, in the absence of any way of knowing for sure.

  112. Rev. Stuart Campbell says:

“Is it true if Mundell kicked the bucket Mone could become Secretary of State?? Jeez.

Can’t see why not. Lords can be Cabinet ministers.

  113. Schrödinger's cat says:

    Robert peffers
In modern scots, it is translated as
    “Don’t fuck wie me!”

    Congrats on the stats stu

  114. Schrödinger's cat says:

    A fitting motto for wings

  115. Hector says:

I learned about Wings Over Scotland and Wee Ginger Dug from a caller on BBC Scotland Call Kaye programme who had suggested anyone interested in finding quality information about the Referendum should check them out! This was just before the Glasgow Subway advert debacle. I took this callers advice there and then and have never missed a post since!

I work in various Scottish locations as a contractor and am still surprised by the number of people I meet who have not ..yet…heard of Wings! I spread the word as much as I can. I would love to have a small “business card” version of the Aye Right leaflet to distribute to people because I think we can encourage many more people to Wings..WGD..Bateman and The National!

I would also happily contribute to a crowd founder for billboards advertising Wings! There is still all to play for and Wings is the key catalyst to educate and inform our fellow Scots in continuing to build the momentum for Independence! Stu you are a real star ..the right person in the right place at the right time… Cometh the hour…Cometh the man……and Wingers thank you all for so many inspiring, informative, entertaining and unmissable debates. Doffs cap and curtsies!

  116. Brian Doonthetoon says:

    Hi Rev Stu.

Congrats! I WAS wondering how the readership shaped up against pre-referendum stats and the latest are BRILLIANT! (To pinch a Fast Show line.)

    Hi Hector.

In Glasgow today (BBC Demo and the impromptu Wings get-together afterwards in The Clutha), I had to depend on my pad of stickies for sharing web site addresses and email addresses.

It would be WONDERFUL to be able to carry a pile of Wings business cards around, for jotting down those things on the ‘b’ side – and passing on the Wings url on the ‘a’ side.

So, Rev Stu, how about making WOS business cards available, in bundles of 100?

  117. Devereux says:

Rarely post ( everyone does idays it so much better) but just to say on behalf of the silent majority how much appreciated you are. Can’t imagine a day without wings !

  118. mumsyhugs says:

    Pure dead brilliant! 🙂

  119. Stoker says:

There’s nothing better than WOS, when you’re not slacking.
And the determined individuals who follow and promote the site are also unrivalled anywhere on our political sphere.
What a team, what a combination and we’ve only just started growing.

  120. Adam Davidson says:

Quite an amazing result especially over the quiet period. Looking forward to the Scottish election. Is it possible to get hold of a copy of the WBB. I had quite a few through Business For Scotland but ended up giving them away to the undecided. I so want a copy for the future, it will be a piece of history.

  121. Sinky says:

Sunday Times reports that Corbyn is going to dodge the Trident debate but is promising the North British branch office greater autonomy but not over finance so Kezia and Co will remain Scotland’s main subsidy junkies.
