Wings Over Scotland

Look, no elephants

Posted on January 20, 2023 by

Our sinister network of shadowy agents informs us that the document below has just been sent by Murray Foote to all SNP Parliamentarians. (Click to enlarge.)

It would appear that the SNP is feeling some heat.

Because while dismissing the notion of triggering an early Holyrood election to act as a de facto independence referendum as being procedurally impossible, the document studiously ignores what is in fact by far the simplest – and more importantly, a wholly unstoppable – method for doing so.

Foote’s briefing paper first brings up a straw-man argument that nobody has in fact suggested – SNP MSPs resigning individually and triggering by-elections. This is an obviously completely nonsensical idea and could only possibly lead to a REDUCTION in pro-indy MSPs, since no Unionists would have stood down.

Next the paper totally glosses over the fact that the SNP could put up a candidate for First Minister – thereby ensuring that no Unionist could win – who would then resign immediately on being elected. The realpolitik effect of that would be that the Unionist parties would then have to agree to a dissolution vote, triggering an election.

But most crucially, while the paper mentions the two-thirds majority required under standing orders to dissolve Parliament and go directly to an election with no further steps, it makes no attempt whatsoever to address the fact that because the SNP and Greens command a majority, the Parliament could vote to CHANGE the standing orders, removing the need for a two-thirds majority and allowing a simple 50%+1 majority to do the job. Holyrood has had that power since 2016.

(An alternative would be to change the standing orders so that the election of a new First Minister DOES require an absolute majority of MSPs, not just a plurality. The effect would be much the same.)

There isn’t even a feeble attempt at a defence that doing so would be a bad idea for [INSERT SPURIOUS REASONS HERE FOR THE CHUMPS – NICOLA]. Hilariously, Foote just puts his blind eye to the telescope and pretends the possibility doesn’t exist.

We’ve said this before, folks, but they REALLY think you’re dumb.

They apparently also think their MSPs are dumb. Not without evidence to be fair.

Malc

He even mentions the no confidence option then totally ignores it later on when talking about opposition FM being elected.
Man’s a buffoon

Rab Dickson

He wrote The Vow….you didn’t expect shining intellect and honesty, did you?

Big Jock

The Vow part two!

Bob Costello

Problem is that there is a large percentage of SNP voters who are dumb

Big Jock

Yes is at 54% in the polls. But it’s like being the best runner in the world who is too scared to race. Pointless and academic. You only win if you turn up, not hide because a bigger boy threatens you.

paul

I have the highest respect for murray foote.

For a queens shilling, he has cast off everything he most valued before he took up wages from his bitterest enemies.

I have confidence his strongest feelings are no different from before, yet he or she, has found contentmet in the post 2014 settlement.

I think he or she wishes it all to continue, ad absurdiam.

I do not.

sarah

@ Malc: Foote isn’t a buffoon. He is lying and concealing the truth deliberately.

Tinto Chiel

Well, we probably would have been that dumb/unenlightened if you hadn’t pointed it out.

Thanks, MSM “journalists” for fearlessly exposing this.

No wonder they hate you, Mr C.

Monica Worley

Excellent. I can’t wait to see the first tweet from the SNP on this. You’ve given me the answer to hit them with.

Steve Dron

I went to an Indy meeting about 5 years ago in The Glens function suite, just up the road, where he (and others) gave a wee presentation. He almost admitted that while he and others may have been sympathetic towards Indy they all had bills to pay.
What’s the chances that now he’s on the SNP payroll he still has bills to pay?

ScottieDog

But Foote is part of the British establishment- which I’m sure many of the grassroots in his party are coming to realise.

Anne Johnston

I beleive that many of us ARE (dumb)..That’s the problem.
It’s been done to us.

Holymacmoses

He’s trying to help:-)
Perhaps Foote intended to give Wings the opportunity to enlighten the electorate
OR
perhaps he intended to disguise the truth
OR
there are other possibilities
BUT
My guess he’s trying to help someone
SO
Who obviously benefits from this shallow analysis?

Big Jock

Tinto. Not just MSM. A certain Mr Kelly is obsessed with polls showing Wings is mistaken, and that independence is vastly higher than it was in 2014.

The problem with this. Is that the polls are meaningless. Because no-one believes they will actually get to vote. The polls are where they were just before indy ref 1. Remember the poll showing yes at 52% the week before the referendum? It proved to be 7% out on the day.

But the ugly truth is that independence is further away from us than it was in 2016. Then we all believed that a vote was coming. Now we can’t see it coming for another decade. And until we get rid of Sturgeons government, things will keep going back the way.

Of course Mr Kelly thinks we are all delusional members of a unionist cult.

Words fail me!

jockmcx

Scottish peoples lives and livelihoods under threat as never before,
scandalous uk government, repulsive english labour opposition,
the only thing i see thats improved since 2014 is the quality of the snp’s clothes and hairdoos, but the “I’m a politician to my fingertips” first minister says No!

I thought the word was supposed to be YES!
A serial mis-leader!

Sadly, the SNP have went from rebels against the system to politicians of the system.

Something from the SNP?

Hmmm…

Just a minute, yes, definitely…

I smell shite!

Al Hunter

FFS ! Looks like he got the job as the FM’s new script-writer, hard-lines Rev.

Lorna Campbell

They won’t listen to you, Rev because they listen to no one who does not agree with them. Try to suggest alternatives, and they either attack or ignore completely, or both. Nothing happens in the SNP that has not first passed by NS. Sensible people listen to others and give new ideas some thought, even if those ideas are subsequently rejected. The SNP no longer does that because it is no longer interested in anything to do with independence. Just wait to see what happens when this GRR bilge is smothered before it emerges into the light (or should that be dark?). The Greens will be livid and try to force their hand. The porn-driven ‘trans’ lobby will be stottin with rage that they might not get access to female spaces and rights, and puir wee Nicola will be their target. They’ll tear her limb from limb. If, on the other hand, the Tories do not have the guts to quash this bill, they will find that women do not forget easily.

Luke Morrison

Must be something in the air..?

Hope everyone’s coming to our Resign Sturgeon Demo at Bute House Wednesday 25/1 12-2pm.

Bring saltines and Indy banners, we have to show it’s the independence movement that wants her to go!

“The winner only needs to get a majority of votes cast” says he, forgive me if I’m wrong but don’t abstentions count as votes cast here, meaning the SNP could always beat another candidate? Call me suspicious, but it’s the fact that Foote puts that sentence with ‘votes cast’ in bold type, and then the next time he’s in bold it’s just ‘votes’, and he came from the Record, where they abuse the bold a lot, and I, well I’ll be truthful, I just don’t trust that man, end of.

Robert Louis

It really is rather simple. Sturgeon and the SNP will not use Holyrood as de facto indyref by calling an election themselves (as detailed by Rev Stu), for one very simple reason, they just can’t be f***ing bothered.

The SNP, where independence is a slogan, not a policy.

Garrion

Awesome. They’re lying by omission to their own members now. For some reason I’m reminded of the Ceaucescus. Can’t think why…

Bob Mack

Maybe scared Jacinda Ahearn gets an interview before her for a UN job.

Caroline Wilson

Let’s be honest, they may well have reason to arrive at that conclusion.

I wonder how much canny Nicola rinsed the
bourgeoisie at the Business for Scotlandshire black tie soirée last night.

I suspect the collection plate of departmental funds was being handed around all the tables disguised as an ‘Indy ticket’ for their silence and complicity.

If only she could get away with it. Were it not for those meddling nats.

Sturgeon unmasked.

Big Jock

Does anyone think Sturgeon will survive 2023?

I reckon she is already looking for an out. She will leave us high and dry, and the next moron will take over.

We, who have been campaigning for Scottish independence for years, have to ask, why is the current leadership of the SNP doing everything to thwart our aims?

There’s something rotten in the state of our nation.

Who has been got at and how?

As others have typed btl here, it’s a pity that Mr Salmond did the honourable thing and resigned the party leadership in 2014.

Where would Scotland, as a nation, be, if he had kept hold of the reins?

It grinds my gears!

It’s ironic that the SNP have ditched independence. When the optics have never been more favourable to win it.

I suppose when people get comfortable, they lose sight of the bigger picture. They settle for something less than ideal, because it’s too much effort to reach for the highest apple.

Everyone of us have to prepare for the disintegration of the SNP,the reversal of devolution, and iron fist of direct rule.

Where we go after that will be decided in the decades after we have gone. And I am not being melodramatic.

Alf Baird

A colonised people will never be allowed a way out, and as we can see:

“The settler’s work is to make even dreams of liberty impossible for the native”

Meanwhile, the dominant national party is easily compromised, so that:

“inside the nationalist parties, the will to break colonialism is linked with another quite different will: that of coming to a friendly agreement with it”

The party then holds the independence movement back, as evidenced by:

“The party machine shows itself opposed to any innovation”

Fortunately, as we see in this WoS article and in other authentic pro-independence forums:

“the intellectual elements….begin to criticise their party’s lack of ideology and the poverty of its tactics and strategy”

Which enables the movement to:

“observe the process whereby the rupture occurs”

And we may then anticipate the outcome, which means:

“Now it is the parties turn to be isolated”

“We’ve said this before, folks, but they REALLY think you’re dumb.”

Foote obviously still thinks he works at The Daily Record. He’s treating indy folk as though they are Unionist Record readers. He was responsible for the steady flow of utter shite from that rag which played its part in possibly the biggest drop in its readership numbers.

He was also responsible for helping to destroy Scotland’s 2014IndyRef by helping to produce a blatant breaking of The Edinburgh Agreement, and therefore the rules, with the now infamous ‘The Vow’. And let’s not get into the endless buckets of Gordon Brown puke he allowed to be published in that same rag.

Those of us who doubted Sturgeon’s commitment to taking back Scotland’s right of self-determination had our doubts confirmed the second she signed up Foote to the inner workings of the SNP. The writing, as they say, was on the wall. The lavvy wall!

If by you you mean independence supporters in Scotland, sadly they are not wrong in thinking that.

If they were not so dumb, they would have given their list votes to ALBA.

Right now we wouldn’t be talking about dissolving the Scottish parish council but about electing independent Scotland’s first parliament.

The biggest betrayer in Scottish history certainly doesn’t want to win, but she can’t possibly want to be seen as a loser.

In the event of a lost vote, it would be beyond her to resign honourably as Alex Salmond did.

Her goal is to sit on the fence for ever.

Kenny

They won’t hold a referendum because they are too afraid of putting their cushy jobs, power and influence on the line. They like it the way it is.

Corrado Mella

Riddle me this…

On one hand the Saint Nicola’s Party says that “There are no ways to dissolve this parliament early”, “we don’t have the powers”, “them are the rules”, etc.

On the other hand, they pass an Act that overshoots Holyrood’s remit by a mile and straddles into UK equality legislation (a reserved matter, with reason because it’s dictated by international obligations that the UK is responsible for).

So they can be bullies when it’s convenient, but their hands are tied when it’s their cushy jobs that are on the chop?

It’s time to administer some well addressed arsekicking.
These narcissistic sociopaths need to be taken down.

Big Jock

Alf has summed it up.

The SNP are compromised by the colonial power. This was warned in 2014 when Nicola took over. That they were in danger of becoming an establishment party. Well it happened, and it doesn’t make it any less tragic.

There are 5 main stages of grief.Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Not everyone goes through the same stages at the same time. The sheep in the SNP have been locked in denial for 5 years. I would suggest people like us have actually gone through every stage and are now accepting the loss.

The loyalists are about to get angry. This is when the party will fall apart. We have already moved beyond any anger. We are ready for change, and have mentally moved on. Our anger period was during the Salmond trial. I am not depressed ,as I was for the last few years. The SNP are dead to me.

This is going to be a long hard struggle from here. Westminster is going to fight us with every sinew. But we must find a way to beat them.

Fraser Reid

Can we do that foi thing where we get to know how many have taken a peek at wings website again See how many know the real truth?

Dave Llewellyn

You would think that former Daily Record Editor would differentiate between the word majority which he uses when the word plurality is what he means. You cant get a majority unless you have a majority. You could get a plurality.

Allison Graham

Standing orders are used when it suits them so let’s see it used to progress independence! Talking of Holyrood elections…why is next scheduled one not 2025? The 4 year term was extended to 5 years in 2016-2020 to a 5 year term (2021) to avoid clash with expected GE 2020 (which then happened in 2017 & 2019).

2021 council elections then moved to May 2022 but this has reverted to 4 year term so will be 2026. Why hasn’t Holyrood reverted to 4 year term as this means HR and council elections clash? Holyrood have power over elections as it was devolved in Scotland Act 2016 and Scottish Elections (Dates) Bill can be amended I’d assume? 2025 is the elections in Ireland so I’d think that may be a ‘tricky’ time for UK constitutionally so why wait to 2026?

orri

The resignation scheme would be for MPs rather than MSPs. The plan would be to get as many of them elected on either a pro referendum or even UDI manifesto.

There’s another option using FM elections. That’s for the SNP / Greens to stand 2 or more candidates and ensure none of them get an absolute majority. Then when the time is right they withdraw leaving at most 1 candidate.

Alternatively the elections are governed by standing orders so change those to require a prospective FM to have a majority support in all cases.

Or if that’s not possible depose the Presiding Officer and any deputies. Every time one is elected they get sacked or if it’s the SNP they stand down. That would prevent any elections for FM taking place and run down the clock.

DebzoHighland

Hey Stu,
Any chance of you firing off a FOI request, to see how much resources Scots Gov have invested into pursuing their GRA & Self ID ideology?
We know, from your previous FOI request that they have done next to feck all since 2014 on Indy.
It may be an interesting comparison for folk that are supporting SNP because they believe they have the only bus to Indy.
Well, that bus is stuck in a hard left turn on a roundabout somewhere…..going Feckin nowhere….except back to the SC to argue the unfairness of devolution!
All I have heard from SNP faithfully over the past few days is……outrage that WM is standing in the way of our democratic rights!
Where the hell was that outrage when SC struck down IndyRef?

Geri

The majority of outrage will be from rUK, Canada, America etc who couldn’t give a shit about indyref.

Whittled down the Scottish government would find they’ve squandered hundreds of thousands of pounds on a few hundred ppl (if that) who actually reside in Scotland. That’s not including hundreds of thousands on failed court cases, pampering to Stonewall & parliament’s time & secret committees. Jeez, it’s bound to be eye watering. I think For Women Scotland gave an overview but I can’t be sure.

All during brexit, Covid & cost of living.

& All for a law the majority didn’t want & made for us by ootsiders. You couldn’t make that shit up.

This guff has had to be produced because Stu is continually EXPOSING the LIES of her ongoing eternal procrastination , there must be rumblings of dissent within the palace so they are having to TRY to counteract Stu’s demolition of their constant excuses
and his highlighting of the ease with which they COULD and SHOULD ACT
His constant exposures of their lies and corruption appears to be having some traction with some of the brain dead BECAUSE the palace have NEVER responded in any way to Stu’s previous exposures, I believe they are under lots of pressure from the decreasing numbers of their membership who are becoming increasingly aware that Stu is not lying and the EVIDENCE he is producing is showing that the Sturgeon Nonce Party is NOT only NOT prioritising independence but is ACTIVELY RUNNING AWAY from it
They would have to be all kinds of STUPID not to realise that the anger and aggression she is showing towards WM blocking her GRR vile bill was completely absent when the SC destroyed her indy ref bill

No demands or harsh aggressive THREATS when they told her to fuck off re indy just a complacent acceptance and a pedestrian unhurried stroll to arrange a meeting in a few months to discuss a direction of travel

Fiona+Brown

Interesting. MF is to the snp sturgeon & murrell brigade what Alistair Cambell was to tony& cherry blair. LoL. Look where that ended.

They obviously hope we are all dumb. This is a seriously desperate attempt to dampen expectations. They must be feeling the heat now. Getting too close for comfort eh? Keep the pressure on folks. Hold em close to the fire. No let up until they either do what us expected of them, or they go down in flames. Their choice.

That communication must have been vetted to the very top of the Party. It is not just the integrity of the SNP’s Vowman that is on the line with this. It is also everyone who nodded it through.

Imagine needing to trust Murray Foote on his word alone… Trust is a privilege… This willfully harms the understanding of the very people who trust them most.

So who else is pushing for an early election? It can’t be the grassroots since they stopped being relevant some time ago. Also it can’t be just Wings that is triggering the need for a detailed rebuttal. I’d have thought that Wishart would have been on the case dismissing it out of hand.

If it really is just Wings, then the SNP leadership really are on shaky ground and they’re running scared from a wee web site with a long history of antagonism. It should just a simply matter of waving it away.

SusanAHF

Twathater, Sturgeon Nonce Party, I like it

Geoff Anderson

I have never read in any history book on Countries driving for Independence the section when they stopped because “them are the rules”.
Can you imagine any combination of past leaders of such movements turning to their supporters and saying ….” Sorry, the rules say we have to give up now”

In many Nations leaders died or went to prison for decades to fight for the cause of Independence.

Look at the energy Sturgeon has put into the TransCult compared to that on Brexit, The Supreme Court ruling or levelling up (bypassing Holyrood).

Several thousand members leave ( mostly office bearers and activists) and not a word from her. A dozen of her Cult whimper and she rushes out the broom cupboard video promising them a Trans Utopia,

However Sturgeon would have no power, no leverage if it was not for those silent MPs and MSPs. Those like Mike Russell who wave their membership service as if it is evidence of commitment when in reality it is more like the old USSR Party membership to gain reward.

Clear out this pigsty and start again because anyone still in this Party has no interest in Independence.

Tom

interesting one from Craig Murray ..

Frank+Anderson

Whoa!! Which Unionist would want to be FM, knowing that the numbers will never stack up? Even their combined total leaves them well short! They would never be able to pass anything, not even their budget. There could be votes of no confidence, at a time of the SNP’s choosing.
Even if the Greens joined the unionist bloc, for what ever reason it would be 64/64 with the PO deciding.
Even the Unionists would be reluctant to take that on, surely! The SNP have the opportunity to drive forward the Independence cause but can’t find the courage to do so.

Big Jock

It’s sad a reflection on how bad the talent is in Holyrood. That despite the SNP being an absolute shambles. There is no other party that could take their place.

It’s what happens when you set up a talking shop parliament. It starts to look inward at itself, instead of outward to the world. Holyrood is becoming the :”parish Council” Blair described.

The SNP are the epitome of ‘Lord of the flies’

akenatonA lot of talk here about

A lot of talk here about the neverland of an Alex Salmond triumphal return, Don’t kid yourselves, AS became Murrell & Co’s most potent weapon and will remain so.
The Company who run Scotland may be corrupt and self-serving, but they are extremely clever and manipulative. AS is a great politician and I’m sure a fine man, but he was cynically sacrificed during the infamous court case and is dead to most of Scotland’s women, the demographic who keep the present administration in office; and the cowardly compliance of a large number of Scotland’s men?

The only way forward is to make HW unworkable, expose the leadership using legal means if necessary and start the Independence project again from scratch, This time leave out the battle rhetoric and try consultation to form agreements which will be acceptable and beneficial to all nations within the present UK.

Jacqueline

Thanks again Stu. Laser. Before my twitter ban I remember Joanna Cherry x 2 re footes appointment tweeting employing him was a great achievement for the snp. More captured than we thought. Just nonsensical until we realise the truth.

That’s a very insightful essay from Craig. The Trans activists, are the only true followers of Sturgeon now. They will ironically be the ones who end her reign. Because she has even failed them.

Tick tock, as they say.

100%Yes

She really doesn’t want any Alba Party MSP.

Effijy

Can this startling game changing piece of information be sent to Mr Foot, Ms Sturgeon and your local SNP MSP.

Hidden in plain sight for 7 years and only with a lawyer as First Minister and a puppet Lord Advocate in their pocket they ask a lying unionist for a report on their legal options?

So obviously a rouse for the sheep to follow without question.

James Robb

I’m currently banned from twitter for pointing out to Murray Foote that if hadn’t lied in his unionist rag Scotland might possibly be independent now. Granted I called him a wanker and a cunt but who knew you get a Twitter ban for telling the truth.
If you claim to support independence, you wouldn’t listen to a word that the wankstain Murray Foote had to say without mentioning the vow

Republicofscotland

The SNP hierarchy are ignoring, (by trying to dupe some folk) the easiest and quickest way out of this prison of a union, this behaviour is utterly disgraceful.

Any SNP MP and MSP with a shred of credibility left MUST speak out against this, surely they can’t all be gutless and spineless, or am I over estimating their integrity.

Peter A Bell

The Foote document does serve one useful purpose. It reminds us that the ‘solutions’ presented by some as surpassingly simple may not be so simple after all. It is always best to scrutinise any suggested course of action. The more immediately appealing it’s simplicity, the greater the need for rigorous scrutiny.

SusanAHF

Just read Craig Murray’s latest post. He is totally wrong on the GRRB. Another lefty liberal who knows a cross dresser and thinks men in women’s spaces is just fine. Fk off Craig and leave Alba before you poison it with your nonsense

Kevin+Kennedy

Murray Foote, the wee rat behind ‘the vow’.

How many known unionists has NS appointed/employed to date ?

But then she does feel british herself so little wonder she’d be sympathetic to fellow britnats.

Mac

Just read the Craig Murray piece and he may well be wrong about GRRB (which is after all his personal view) but he is not wrong about anything else he writes about…

The stark difference in approach and standards by Sturgeon’s Lord Advocate when it comes to not backing the referendum bill versus completely backing the clearly deeply flawed and doomed GRR legislation. It really does tell you exactly what Sturgeon and her Lord Advocate are all about.

But also the intent to abolish jury trials is truly outrageous, considering Sturgeon is already guilty of trying to stitch-up a political competitor and former FM using false allegations of sexual misconduct, and the only thing that saved him was the fucking jury.

It is crazy what Sturgeon is being allowed to get away with. In any other country… It is outrageous yet our media is silent, complicit, happy to grease the tracks for it all.

Nicola Sturgeon is a serious threat to all our civil liberties, just ask Alex Salmond for one.

She is actually dangerous and out of control. Murray’s latest article is frightening in many ways.

The friendly sassenach

SusanAFH says “Fk off Craig and leave Alba before you poison it with your nonsense”

I don’t agree with Craig either but more respect in your tone might be appropriate. He did jail time for reporting on the Salmond trial. Have you made a personal sacrifice of that order yet?

SusanAHF

Respect is earned. He did not know he would go to jail BEFORE he produced his article.

Liz

I agree @susanAHF I have no time for Craig Murray, he is deeply misogynist, read Murder in Samarkand where he freely admits to frequently cheating on his wife with nubile young Uzbekistanis who he claimed to love.

His ego is such that he didn’t realise his position was what was attracting them and what he could do for them in difficult circumstances.,
I am not including his wife in that.

The diddy Scottish Labour party weren’t thrown under a bus. They willingly threw themselves under it because they still can’t get it through thier thick heads that they’re a branch office. They can play pretendy politics all day, everyday, on wee pretendy irrelevant shit but can fuck off at the serious stuff.
The whole point of Holyrood is to render indy mute. There is no ‘Scottish’ government. It’s an administration. That it.

It should never have changed its name. It cements the idea it can actually do anything besides talk shit all day or decide where the pocket moneys spent. It has thousands of WM appointed civil servants behind it making sure it fails at everything – or at least has delay, fuckups or 15 failed attempts first. It also gives the appointed parties lofty ideas above thier station. Sturgeon thinks she’s a fkn world leader FFS!

The tragedy for Labour will always be Better Together. They could’ve seized their chance at being a REAL political party in an independent Scotland. Hard lines.

Starmer hasn’t thrown Sarwar under a bus. He is Mr Establishment. He’s doing his job which is to let the pretendy administration talk as much shite as they like – when it’s crunch time they’re put back in thier box. The real seat of power, Westminster, trump’s every time. The GRR was allowed to noise up Holyrood & cause division. Maybe even catch a few voters but all Unionist parties in Holyrood are permanent saboteurs. They all despise Holyrood & wish it never existed. The Labour party didn’t give us Devo. The public did & Blair was ordered to enact it.

Isn’t it also against electoral commission rules to have two different policies under one political party? There is no Scottish Labour party & they can’t veer off script from the boss.

Anyhoo, ppl need to keep in mind the yoons job in Holyrood is to be as much of a knt as possible. It’s to make Devo fail so it goes back to full control.

Sturgeon is on a power trip & indy is on a constant hamster wheel until someone breaks the Scotland Act & goes external.

I believe that if we’d won in 2014 it would never have went ahead. They’d have pulled the old rabbit out of the hat the yanks pulled with Russia..

*Ah, Mr Salmond, about that Edinburgh agreement, that was an agreement with Mr Cameron & as Mr Cameron has since resigned, well, guess what? That agreement is void now. Sorry about that, lolz!*

Undecided voters will never vote for Alba on list. They want a functioning government to continue to work while sorting independence. The country still needs to function. What’s their policies on the NHS, Police and Fire, Education, Ferries, Councils. The list goes on. They can not make this up on the fly. Until they branch out further and explain what they will do in the meantime most undecided will view them as a waste of time. Have a proper detailed manifesto with independence being the #1. Be an alternative to the SNP cause they couldn’t run a piss up in a brewery under the current leadership. But it’s ok. It’s better than down south. We should all be grateful it’s not as bad as down south. This is what should be used to get new SNP leadership and maybe we can get some movement on this. Otherwise we won’t have anything before 2030 and it’s just another mandate after mandate while idiots worship at the alter of Saint Nicola.

“Undecided voters will never vote for Alba on list. They want a functioning government to continue to work while sorting independence”

Because they are indeed dumb, which was my point.

The SNP became anti-independence the moment Sturgeon became laeder and only the dumb could have voted for the SNP thinking that it was “sorting independence”.

“Sorting independence” is the last thing the SNP government wants, and this was already clear following Brexit and well before the last election.
