Superb as always Mr C. They will never change their tune.

Alison Brown

Brilliant!

Gullane No 4

Very clever, once again.
I do love your cartoons.

Frank Gillougley

That is a very good cartoon, Mr. Cairns. Your subjects are shown in a very true light.

kapelmeister

The only things red about Foulkes are his Lords robe and his hooter.

Another grand toon Chris.

callmedave

I listened to Lord George Robertson of Port Ellen on radio shortbread yesterday expounding his theory that Ricky Leopard was a dud. Advising him from on high he was.

It may well be true but who else have they got to step up… 🙁

deerhill

Nail, hammer, hit, as usual.
Mcleish was on Radio Shortbread wittering on as usual, and avoiding the two obvious questions:

Why is Scottish labour so afraid of championing indi. ref. 2?
If you want a new leader, who would be best in the job?

Insted he rambled on about “federalism”. Aye Right!

Marie Clark

Oh well done hris, that was he real LOL moment. Thank you.

winifred mccartney

Great cartoon – warbling to an empty theatre – with non elected Lords complaining – they should look in the mirror.

Who else is there for labour leadership – James Kelly and then everyone could see what an ass he is.

Jenny Marra certainly has RD’s brass neck.

Ian Murray – ape the Tories after all they have done that for everything else.

Polly

You’ve captured them so well

Col.Blimp IV

Lord Help us! say the Labourites!

Well they have enough of them … 175 at the last count.

HandandShrimp

Mr Leopard has been there for three years, one of their longer serving branch managers. It has taken them their time to notice he isn’t setting the heather alight, or is it simp!y revenge of the Blairites time?

Somehow it all reminds me of the film Night of the Lepus.

kapelmeister

Ultra-unionist Labour’s song for Scotland is Land of No Hope and Tory.

HandandShrimp

As an aside I have seen UB scrawled on lamp posts, signs and benches. Yesterday I saw Union Bears sprayed unhelpfully on a retail industrial site map blocking out the info I needed. I had thought UB stood for Utter Bam (I may not be wrong) but is it Ricky Leopard and team and their new revitalised Labour strategy?

Bob Mack

Brilliant Chris. Was it not the group Survivor who made “Its the singer not the song” a top chart hit?

Survivor I would suggest is not what Leonard will end up as.

kapelmeister

Leonard is saying he has “received hundreds of messages of support”.

All from Neil Findlay most likely.

Stan Broadwood

Well done Chris.

The SNP are morphing into Scottish Labour.

Sturgeon can’t see it yet, but outsiders like myself can see it alright.

Like the SNP, power went to the head of Scottish Labour’s leadership.

Like the SNP, Scottish Labour thought they could go through their term in government without taking the electorate with them.

Like the SNP, Scottish Labour are divided from within.

Both have leaders who think they know best.

Both have leaders who think they don’t need to listen to anyone.

Both leaders believe in Devolution ahead of Independence.

And more importantly, both leaders have english grannies. (Probably the root cause of why they both oppose
Scottish Independence).

Republicofscotland

A belter Chris sums up SLAB to a tee.

robertknight

Kapelmeister…

“Leonard is saying he has “received hundreds of messages of support”.”

From SNP members probably.

Republicofscotland

Dodgy £20 pounds notes with the spelling of the word pound as pooned have been doing the rounds in Cornwall, typically locals have poked fun at Scots by claiming that the dodgy notes might be Scots money.

Republicofscotland

Colonel Ruth (Rape clause) Davidson raging at the BBC for calling a spade a spade.

link to thenational.scot

Stan Broadwood

Scottish Labour and the SNP both have image problems.

For Instance,,,

Would you admit to being a member of Scottish Labour?

Would you admit to being a member of the SNP?

Would you campaign on behalf of Scottish Labour?

Would you campaign on behalf of the SNP?

See what I mean.

Both Parties and their leaders are Toxic.

Cuilean

Man, yer on fire these days, laddie boy!

I’d have put Jackie Baillie underneath the stage, cutting a circle round Leonard’s feet. But simple is most effective.

Last week’s ‘creme de la creme’ edition, is printed out and on my fridge door. Come the Indy2 campaign, am printing off as many of it as I can and going to deliver them all round my toon!

The annual GERS farce, has never been summed up more succinctly or adroitly! Bravo, maestro.

Willie

Singing to an empty audience – to reflective of Labour’s electoral support.

Yes, nothing wrong with the song as the two enobled Brit Rats opine.

cynicalHighlander

Was he nodding in tune though?

robertknight

RoS…

If Truth Davidson doesn’t like being called “Baroness”, I’ve got a few alternatives she may prefer…(not)

wullie

Rule Britannia Britannia rules the waves Britons always will be Norman slaves.

kapelmeister

robertknight @11:36 am

I’d call her Barrenness Davidson, seeing as her Tory party are determined to lay waste to Scotland.

Tam Fae somewhere

Brilliant.

SLAB speaking to an empty audience!

Stan Broadwood

Sturgeon will look to disillusioned Scottish Labour members and encourage them to join her rag tag bunch spineless gutless SNP Scots.

The only criteria required is that you never mention the word “Independence”.

If caught using the “Independence” word, your SNP membership will be terminated with Immediate effect.

With no right of appeal.

The SNP Dictator Sturgeon, is particularly tough on this ruling. She won’t be diverted away from her goal of keeping Scotchland British.

Rule Britannia.

Stan Broadwood

The “Spineless Numpties Party”.

AKA,,,The SNP.

Formerly known as,,,The Scottish Labour Party.

Muscleguy

@Stan Broadwood 10:17 am
Agreed in spades. No party democracy? check. Taking voters for granted to herded into SNP 1&2 regardless every 5 years? check. Otherwise fed platitudes while ‘their’ govt does the bidding of others? check. MSPs Whipped to within an inch of their lives? check.

And finally sofa govt with Yes First Minister ministers, all decisions made on the sofa? Check.

It’s like the disappointment Blair’s New Labour turned out to be. GRA, Hate Crime, No Indy are Iraq war, too chummy with Bush, ‘relaxed about people getting rich’.

James Barr Gardner

Belter as usual Chris, Rule Britannia has been RUE Britannia for many Nations and Peoples on this Planet time it was consigned bin of Shame.

mogabee

Have they not got it yet?

Chop as many heads off as you like but the outcome remains the same…

Almost as if we were back in 2011!(rolls eyes)

wullie

should that not be . Last rights of the POHMS .

Oneliner

Great cartoon Chris.

If you go for any outdoor walks, make sure you are accompanied!

MaggieC

Excellent cartoon Chris , Once again hit the nail on the head and didn’t miss .

leither
McDuff

Nice one Chris.

stuart mctavish

Evokes memories of agent Boris outburst the other day about having had it up to the backteeth with all the cringers – an attitude which could in part explain his timely joke in reviving the monstering baroness.

Merkin Scot

Top toon.

OldPete

Divide, conquer and rule it’s the “Rule Britannia” way.

defo

Those noses !
Very Hogartian . Very good!

David Caledonia

I am a member of the SNP, and supporters like me don’t give a monkeys who knows it, what are you a member of The monster raving looney party lol

David Caledonia

You can’t get through to an idiot unless they take a day off from being one,
Slagging off the SNP for what reason I ask
Certainly a monster raving looney

defo

SNPee’ers Anonymous meeting tonight?

David Caledonia

Tory Labour and Liberal parties having a meeting in the phone box at never never land heh heh heh

TOMMY SHERIDAN

Excellent summation of Labour in Scotland, a brand that is dying more each day. They are reduced to second fiddle unionist flag wavers defending a corrupt and tarnished union. Here is my tuppence worth on the crisis of ‘Scottish Labour’: Richard Leonard’s failure to see the independence movement as the progressive force for change it is, represents his and Labour in Scotland’s Achilles heel. He will inevitably be forced to relinquish his leadership role by non-entities within his own party in Scotland who would struggle to be recognised in their own households let alone the wider community in Scotland, such is their lack of impact on Scottish political life.
