Wings Over Scotland

Turning wheels

Posted on July 31, 2017 by

Just a quick one-week-on update: thanks to your incredible support, our fundraiser for legal action now stands at a phenomenal £14,683 including all sources. We’re well beyond the initial target of £5000, but since even a modestly-eminent QC costs slightly over £8 a minute, every extra penny helps.

Glad to have helped with this, Rev.

Fair-weather Indy supporters need to get a grip of themselves. The indy movement is under attack like never before and the last thing it needs is to be stabbed in the back by those proclaiming to support indy; those who have an ego that simply will not quit or recognise when it is on the wrong side of this little feud. You know who I mean and so does she. There are several high-profile indy bloggers/sites who have come out in support of WoS – how many have come out in support of CS? None that I can see. Indeed, some of those who did support CS have just today told them to take a hike.

This issue needs to go to the courts because for too long, those in a position of power in this country have abused that power by making all manner of totally unfounded claims against indy supporters. This won’t end that, of course, but it will hopefully give some of them pause for thought.

    Good luck Rev.

Will no Indy supporting QC do it for free. Good publicity. It is time lying politicians were held to account. It might make them think twice. The Tories are being held to account for their illegal policies time after time. Tribunal costs, benefit cuts etc. Sanctioning and starving vulnerable people.

Blair gets away with it? Putting some of them in jail for their illegal behaviour might act as a deterrent. The families were going to sue him.

If I had to choose a bandwagon to jump on, it would be yours in this instance. I never thought I would see the day when righteous principles of justice and equality would be weaponised to use as a club to beat anybody with alternative viewpoints, in order to silence them.

Equality and diversity is being turned into a dictatorship these ,days rather than a norm. Go get them Stu.

It’s funny how some folk are happy to lose sight of the fact that Dugdale is the bad guy here
Miss Dugdale I’m quite sure could not care one jot about Stuart Campbells preferences to anything one way or another but what she does care about is smearing the First Minister and that’s what this is all about, creating the notion that WOS is besties with the FM and the SNP so that all right thinking folk can be appalled on cue because WOS is evil and Baad and Miss Dugdale and her ally can squeal gleefully with little clappy hands and jump and jump for joy and tell everybody she’s the leader and she won

Except if the law is applied correctly, she wont!

Miss Dugdale is not some poor wee snowflake soul who needs the world to ride to her rescue she’s a politician who aspires to be First Minister of our country and will do whatever it takes to achieve her goal in any way she can

Eh and that’s why we don’t like her folks, she’s a proven “serial misleader” as the real First Minister would say

If Kezia was so upset by stu’s remarks why did it take her months to respond and why did she and not others? This was just something on labours back burner when things got impossible at FMQ’s and she was silly enough to use it. No matter what you think of it FMQ’s was neither the place nor the time to raise it. She just hates wings because it draws attention to her obvious inadequacies and serial lying and if she tries to say that labour mp’s, msp’s etc don’t read it she really is a fool.It is one of only a very few places where you will get truth and good debate.

When she tries to smear the FM and the SNP it really is rich with people like Ian Smart and Foulkes in the labour team!

This case is very important, and I can’t actually understand the complaints against it. I was even quoted Scottish Pen:

    link to scottishpen.org

but one if its 3 aims is this:

“Provides safeguards for individuals from companies or those with powerful interests seeking to silence reasonable criticism and comment”

bearing in mind that tghe Labour party will apparently be behind Dugdale, I think they definitely qualify as “powerful interests seeking to silence reasonable criticism and comment”, and Rev Stu definitely qualifies as “individuals”

so how on earth anybone can complain about an indidvual taking to court the Leader of the branch party of a powerful interest such as the Labour party, specially when using a position of parliamentary privilege to repeat the allegation, is totally beyond me.

However, I hope Haggerty has the sense to realise she got it wrong, and considering the Rev backed her against the SH, that future relationships can be restored for the sake of Indy.

Incidentally, this is something that Rowntree Foundation should support. It’s within their stated remit.

I have been heartened by the level of financial support given to the Rev, Paul K and iScot in the last week. The establishment should be worried because they used to get away with murder, taking advantage of the expense of a legal wrangle for an ordinary citizen.

I suspect Andy Wightman will be crowdfunded handsomely if/when necessary: the Tories are dying to take him down.

I see Common Space has published another dirty, filthy attempt at further discrediting this most excellent and vital pro Scottish Indy blogger and his supporters. Yawning at the pathetic “I’m gay and I’m offended” rubbish. What’s wrong with offending people? It’s your right and mine. What bugs me is what some might term as offensive is being manipulated to become something much more serious as homphobia. Oliver Mundell is an idiot list TORY MSP in Scotland’s parliament. To wish he had never been born is perhaps a wee bit unkind. But that’s all this is about. A storm in a teacup, a smokescreen to divert attention from the real news in Scotland like Brexit and it’s implications for our health and economic well-being is just one example of something worth shouting about. Columnists like Haggerty and Daly etal are entitled to question and challenge, but I believe something bigger and more sinister is at hand here and it is dividing us at a time when we need to unite. First the air brushed angelic picture of Dugdale herself and the headline, “Why we should back Kezia and send Wings Over Scotland packing” is not just an opinion article it’s a call to shut down Stuart Campbell who is NOT our enemy. He’s a genius loud moth pro indy blogger who won’t lie down to those who really are our enemies. The real enemies are Tories, the bankers the corporate media and corporate businesses and the filthy rich landowners in Scotland. They are owned, funded, and controlled by an interconnected network of large corporate conglomerates and international bankers who manipulate and filter out anything that does not fit their corporate and pro unionist agenda. Wings Over Scotland is one guy who draws our attention to what they are up to. My suggestion to CS and their seemingly know nothing “journos” is this, know your enemy and pick your battles.

Well she is a miss and she is a leader and she certainly is prone to attempt to mislead. However, I don’t think she would be a second class First Minister. At least a third class FM is my opinion.

It would seem that Mhari Black is now a target of the ‘elite’ yes movement and is being derided for ‘liking’ tweets relating to WOS.

The vendetta against WOS is indeed voracious is it not by those involved with Common Space…..seems there is only room for the elite in the Indy debate….they are a bit like the The People’s front of Judea…all incessant ‘polite’ talk and no plan of action….no plan that is other than being nice to those who shit incessantly on those involved in the Indy movement or rather the ‘wrong’ side of the Indy/Yes movement….politicians and individuals…….however CS are not so ‘nice’ when they want us, the people, to vilify Mr Campbell and thus unite with unionists in this condemnation …..as if Unionists needed any help in their onslaught against him and his site …..of course WOS does not play by CS’s rules…..therefore it must be condemned as a negative force and boycotted….while conveniently they, CS, can then take the mantle and speak for ‘Yes’….. in muted tones of course.

Remember Ms Haggarty being supportive to Ms Heuchan on Twitter by trying to show empathy….only to be given short shrift….naive of Ms Haggarty to try and placate this individual with a show of sisterhood when clearly the agenda of this BT individual was one of BT uber alles and blatant self promotion….her modus operandi was to be contentious in spouting a controversial opinion on there being a parallel between nationalism and racism via an MSM article guaranteed to generate negative feedback….Job done re playing the victim card and reinforcing the false perception of nasty divisive cybernats abuse and also raising one’s own profile …..yes ….so much for peace Love and Harmony Ms Haggarty……reality can be a bitter pill to swallow…if only a lesson was learnt….sadly never is with Ms Haggarty .

I feel however that one lesson CS may learn is that some individuals, who were previous supporters of CS, may decide to give them a wide berth and cancel any future financial support……perhaps tis their constant ‘carping from the sidelines’ against the SNP and the so called ‘wrong’ kind of Indy supporter that exposes THEM, CS, as being the destructive and divisive force within the Indy movement.

No one has a monopoly of the ‘Yes’ movement……if CS seek to self destruct then so be it….frankly I am beginning to find their input is becoming quite irritating, irrational and a tad needy in their desperation to be relevant within the Yes movement …so much so I am beginning to wonder if their input to the Indy debate is but a mere mixed message, more to do with seeking control while simultaneously trying to diminish other pro Indy sites influence ……different methods of communicating reaches different types of people……but tis not CS role to determine who or what is the best way forward.

As individuals who are free to choose …….. then tis our right, as individuals, to decide who we want to follow and what we feel is the best method we want to adopt to achieve independence…..if CS try to monitor and challenge the output of WOS and it’s followers then it is the Yes movement and the quest for independence that will ultimately suffer and that division will do more to promote and benefit the survival of the Union.

Tis all of this infighting between the different factions of Indy supporters that will ultimately bring us down and then we will only be left with fighting for survival as a part of a post Brexit UK……where Scots within the (non) Union will not have the spoils after UK Brexit but will be made to eat the crumbs from the post UK Brexit table…..par for the (unionist) course.
