Alert readers will recall that last year the SNP convened a summit in Glasgow for the sole purpose of uniting the nation in preventing Nigel Farage becoming Prime Minister.
The party also regularly tells us that to actually achieve independence, support would have to build to an overwhelming consensus into the 60-65% range, rather than the 50% +/-3 that it’s been stubbornly stuck at for the last 12 years.
So, y’know, now we know why they’re so frantically desperate to keep Farage out.
No need big John has just announced that he wants to create six supra regional supra authorities.
Like the NHS reorganisation proposal he made to reduce boards from fourteen to two his ‘ made in Scotland ‘ plan has an uncanny similarity with the plan in England to abolish NHS England this year and reorganize the forty two health trusts into twelve Integrated Care Bodies that will come under the wing of department of Health and Social Care.
With no NHS England anymore a road to privatisation perchance and then you hear that the word on the wrong wards in Scotland is privatisation .
But back to big Johns creation of five supra regional councils. What place for a Scottish Parliament on its road to Burnham’s UK of the regions.
A very valid point.
I would enjoy watching a stand alone England ruled by Trump style absurdity and corruption but I would never expect a right wing party paid for by immoral billionaires and supported by fascists thugs to keep their word.
If Farage gets in the NHS is finished, workers rights and human rights will be flushed away the minimum wage and welfare support.
Let’s go for it and sign some form of legal agreement.
