Wings Over Scotland

Somewhere over the horizon

Posted on March 24, 2021 by

Hey folks, remember the happy days when indyref 2 was going to be in “the first half” of the next Parliament? Well, here comes the totally surprising and unexpected news.

This was Ian Blackford on Sky News yesterday, quietly confirming that at best we can expect it in the SECOND half of the Parliament, ie 2024 at the earliest. (And that’s with all the usual waffly evasiveness about how it could be achieved.)

So if readers were wondering why Blackford had quickly released a squirrel to distract from the appearance, perhaps now they know.

Don’t be taken for mugs forever, readers.

Just as soon as we reach that second half, 2024, there will be yet another dangly carroty thingy all ready and waiting for the terminally gullible and naive. That should give Westminster enough time to get us aboard HMS Greater England or better still, ensure our colonial status alongside our minority status so that it will be quite impossible to ever win a referendum on Scottish independence of any kind, ever.

The Scottish Unionists and rUK English Nationalists together will create a New Caledonia. Except, they cannot because that name has been taken long since by islanders who recently held a referendum on their independence. The French settlers and native Unionists there (it’s a French colony) outvoted them. The Scottish New Caledonia will have to settle for New Scotia, a brand new product for UK and American corporate consumption.

Once elected in May, with the backing of the Greens if its needed, independence will, like it was in 2016 be swept under the carpet, and wheeled out from time to time when Westminster upsets Sturgeon.

It may take the next five years of an SNP government not delivering an indyref for a majority of folk to wake up and realise that they’ve badly duped by Sturgeon and her clique.

It remains as a fact that only Alex Salmond took the country to an indyref, yet he is demonised by many Sturgeonites when he should be lauded for almost freeing Scotland from this terrible union.

Blackford always reminds me a character you might find in a Dickens novel – probbly Bleak House, which is esentially a victorian story about lawfare. Anyway..

To call Blackford unctuous did not begin to convey the presence of the man ‘x’ now sat before. Blackford’s keen eyes sat in the midst of a face that was at once too flat and too round, lips curled slightly heavenwards but, in spite of the conspicuous placement of articles denoting a Presbyterian faith, it was hard to see any piety in that expression. ‘x’ suddenly found himself rememebering some half forgotten words attributed to Pliny The Elder, in which he said of mankind that their wealth seems to posess them rather than they possessing it. It seemed apposite somehow. Blackford laced his fingers atop his well kept paunch and leaned back in his protesting chair. ‘Short money you say?’ Blackford’s voice disagreed with his portly frame, in that it was contralto against the expectation set by the latter of a baritone. ‘Pray continue. I am, if I may sink to the vernacular, ‘all ears’, as they say’.

Queen Nicola Sturgeon has decided a section 30 order is the route for Scotland to be Independent. She’s even called it the Gold Standard, she’s made the point perfectly clear (and will again during the up coming election) that the SNP will seek to obtain a section 30 order once again from the UK. Now wouldn’t it make more sense to ask the electorate if they want to seek a section 30 order or not? Sturgeon knowingly (and banking on the fact) knows the PM will not consent to a section 30 order, but she hopes then to call the PM is a democracy denier, when in actual fact Boris Johnston was elected in 2019 on the basis of refusing a section 30 order, he was on TV stating it, that’s a fact. The only party who is full of bull and who are democracy denier’s are the SNP, by asking the electorate in Scotland to vote on a promise of a referendum, when they have already given the the consent to grant or deny it to the UK. So what would we be actually voting for, because it wouldn’t be a referendum because its never ever going to happen and the SNP know it. If the SNP put in their manifesto they’ll request a section 30 order, when they’ve done this and its refused, they wont even be able to take it to Court, cos the Court will rule a referendum isn’t with the consent of the people, cos all the people voted for was a section 30 order!! to which the UK has refused. Lets remember every single mandate we have given the SNP has been honored (WHY YOU ASK) because she went and ask for a section 30 order and the UK refused, once again we are going to end up in the cul-de-sac because the SNP keeping putting us there, I wanted to see from this draft Independence Bill that the SG wouldn’t be seeking a section 30 order and that would be asking the Scottish people in May to grant the SG permission to hold a referendum without a section 30 order that’s democracy in the hands of the people who live in Scotland not in another country.

It’s becoming an unaccountable police state with a humongous deficit, no currency and all they would do is everything possible to get back into the EU so Nicola, her hubby and all their cronies can then get well paid commission jobs just like the Kinnock clan, while having someone else to blame for their own incompetence in the interim. Almost every article I read on this excellent website confirms this and I’m someone who would love Scotland to stay part of the UK. Blackford is insulting our intellects by attempting to deceive us with his pueril psychological blackmailing:

    1) he avoids to deny that an England MP parachuted to the position of PM by England only has to “give consent” to Scotland for anything. The fact that he is building up his deceptive speech on top of that falsehood is telling us that he does not give a sht about democracy nor Scotland’s popular sovereignty. and worse, his party has no intention in delivering that referendum. This man speaks like a very well trained and compliant colonial chief.

    b) he is inferring that unless the SNP gets a majority, independently of how many pro indy seats we get, we cannot have the referendum. He appears to have embraced the recent narrative of the colonial parties. And I say recent because I distinctly remember Ruth Davidson in the 2011 election saying that “what democracy is all about “in Holyrood is that if 2 or more pro indy parties gain TOGETHER a majority of seats, they can form a coalition or agreement, call a vote for a referendum and pass the vote if that is what they want. At that point, the colonel was totally clear that there was no need for all the pro indy seats to belong to the SNP in order for the vote to pass, so it looks like Mr Blackford is attempting to pull a fast one here taking us for fools.

    c) Mr Blackford is not mentioning at all the mandate we ALREADY have and that his boss has deliberately wasted. Mr Blackford is not mentioning either that denying us that democratic mandate as his boss has done, is denying us our legitimate right to self determination. There cannot be any doubt now that Scotland is a colony. We would have never seen the astonishing level of corruption brought by the collusion of Sturgeon with the apparatus of the British state and this government, civil service and COPFS remaining as they are if Scotland was a functioning democracy. Well, in line with the UN decolonisation charter, once a non governing peoples have requested their self determination, the powers for this to happen must be transferred with no delay. Unpreparedness is not an excuse. It seems to me that Mr Blackford here is, like Sturgeon, colluding with the British state to deny Scotland its self determination and to make a mockery of the UN decolonisation charter.

It seems to me that with all his verbiage, Blackford appears to be trying cover up the fact that his corrupt boss could not be arsed in delivering our democratic mandate by subtlety sending the message that the reason is because the SNP did not get a majority.

    AFI and ISP
still aiming to prop up this gang of liars in exchange for the promise of a referendum that these wnkrs are already furiously kicking down the road even before they released their effing manifesto?

ALL so-called ‘journalists’ should pay heed. Today it is a mere blogger, next they will be coming for you. Speak up now, for soon you might not be allowed to.

AS also stated he did not call for the resignation of the first minister, does he know something we do not know,

James Che, who knows? At the risk of stating the blindingly obvious, AS is the finest politician of his generation. Maybe he isn’t going after NS because he does not consider her to be culpability to be terribly high. Or maybe he has concluded that going after others will allow the truth – the whole truth – to come out.

He won’t donate £600,000 to the fund, that’s his Pie money.

Some have done the exodus to englund, but there’s no escape from fuck ups of enormous size. So pucker up those pillows foot stools polished and beer drawer stocked , its gonna be devastating!

Look, you lot are giving me a tough time, I’ve got another 3 and a half years before the next Westminster election. Would any of YOU trade that in for achieving the foundational aim of your Party? There’s so many more things I need to let Boris know Scotland will never have done to it against her will.

Let’s see just how slowly the Crown Office and the Scottish legal system can act now that Alec is prosecuting the permanent secretary. Every excuse, every covid delay, lost paperwork, translating into Bashkir, leave a tap running to flood the courtroom, etc, etc.

The police will also suddenly discover that they really should be investigating burglaries, and patrolling on the beat, not just performing political proscutions.

Craig Murray is just a Blogger ? Shit there I was thinking he was a real Journalist . Well he may be just a Blogger but he is clearly a very rich one. Did he inherit money or does Crowdfunding really pay that well ? I seem to remember him crowdfunding not that long ago because he was being sued and claimed he couldn’t afford to defend himself and was close to destitution ? https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/alex-salmond-blogger-trial-high-21789285

Don – what a nasty, shitey drive-by smearing that Daily Record “story” is. I wonder who put them up to it, since the Daily Record and the SNP are best pals now.

I have no idea what Craig Murray’s financial situation is, and neither do you.
