Salmond: the secret of his success

Posted on March 30, 2012 by

The Tories blow £110,000 on tea and biscuits in a single department in three months:

Meanwhile, in Edinburgh, Alex Salmond pays for two cups of tea and two Caramel Wafers out of his own pocket and makes £1m profit in a single afternoon:

Is it any wonder the canny Scottish people would rather have the clever First Minister running their country than the hapless Tories?

One hopes the tea and biscuits costing over £100,00.00 were healthy options considering it was the Dept of Health (England Only),

BBC NEWS :"Footage has emerged of former Conservative Party chairman Peter Cruddas saying the Tories need to be seen as fighting to keep the Union, even if they do not agree with it."
And now this to drive home what many of us long suspected.
Dodgy Dave Cameron is fighting with every fiber of his being to usher Scotland OUT of the Union whilst earnestly appearing to be striving with the same aforementioned being and fibers to be keeping Scotland IN the Union.
Well, with wideboy Dave on our side, how can we fail to win independence?
IT'S OFFICIAL: THE TORIES WANT SCOTLAND OUT OF THE UNION.

In times gone by this kind of spending would have had people out in mobs demanding the heads of those in government adorn spikes. Nowadays I'm sure that no one in the media or politics would miss a beat if their SNP opposition did the same as these buffoons. Of course since the Westminster bunch all gave up on being proper opposition to each other or even doing much else than filling their pockets and being second rate managers they'll only pay lip service to their role before turning against the only real oppposition they have – the independance supporters and independant candidates. The last real opposition to the Lab/Lib/Con hydra.

On another note I hope the biscuits at least had chocolate on them. At least two kinds in swirly patterns so you really can feel it is luxury. I hate it when they pad out the biscuits with the plain ones everyone leaves until last too. If they paid that much and still had inferior biscuits then it would be truly unforgivable.

Actually, the tea and biscuits paid for out of Salmond’s own pocket ended up costing the taxpayer thousands. Because Labour had it investigated, with QCs. Really, in barrel-scraping cases like this, Labour should be stumping up the full cost, not the taxpayer.

Also, hope no one has missed the news that our MPs are able to claim expenses of £3750 each for turning up to praise Thatcher today when they’re apparently supposed to be on one of their many long holiday. Seriously WFT? Why are we accepting paying for these utter numpties?
