Wings Over Scotland

The Pillars Of Sanity

Posted on July 19, 2025 by

For the combatants in the gender wars, it’s been quite a spring and summer here in the TERF Island theatre of battle.

In February, polling company YouGov revealed the vast extent to which public opinion has shifted around the issue (significantly though not entirely in the wake of the Cass Review last April), which we reported on via a snazzy Stalingrad metaphor. But just as with Stalingrad, it was only the precursor to the recapture of territory on an epic scale.

So let’s recap what we’ve won and what it means.

.

16 APRIL 2025 – VICTORY #1

Arguably (we’ll come to that later) the most crucial victory of them all was of course the Supreme Court ruling in favour of For Women Scotland, establishing – or rather more accurately, reaffirming – the meaning of sex in law.

The ramifications of the FWS judgment started cascading down through the real world immediately, most visibly (though by no means exclusively) in sport, and continue to do so despite the increasingly hysterical protests of the trans lobby, led by the alarmingly unhinged fox-battering KC Jolyon Maugham of the self-aggrandisingly-named Good Law Project, not uncoincidentally the father of two trans children.

(These changes followed on from other sports who’d been ahead of the curve and had already altered their policies to reinstate and protect fairness for women, like rugby and aquatics and cycling.)

But as great a triumph as FWS was, more were to come.

.

16 APRIL 2025 – VICTORY #2

Later the same day as the FWS ruling, this site was itself at the centre of a High Court judgment described by the Solicitors Journal as “pivotal” and a “landmark ruling” for free speech, when we defeated disgraced ex-policeman Lynsay Watson‘s attempts to force Greater Manchester Police to arrest us over comments on Twitter.

We covered the full background and events of the story here, but the important fact is that the court’s decision sets a precedent protecting the Article 10 rights of anyone commenting on trans issues – even in very sensitive cases like the brutal murder of trans-identifying teenager Brianna Ghey – on social media, regardless of how offended transactivists claim to be about them.

The days when police forces across the UK acted as pet goon squads for every misogynist incel with a grudge, putting scores of innocent people through “the process is the punishment” hell for months and years on the back of spurious and malicious accusations, are now effectively over.

.

4 JULY 2025 – VICTORY #3

Two weeks ago, barrister Allison Bailey, co-founder of the LGB Alliance and previously (and indeed currently) at the centre of a lawsuit against Stonewall and her own chambers – secured the first ever actual court judgement under the Equality Act’s provision against discrimination in the supply of goods or services.

(Which applies to gender-critical beliefs in the wake of Forstater vs CGD Europe.)

Numerous similar previous cases – such as Joanna Cherry’s against comedy club The Stand – had been settled before reaching court, but Bailey’s was the first to go all the way and result in a decision that will set a standard for any that follow, acting as a further deterrent to would-be discriminators.

(Just a couple of weeks before Bailey’s win, Wings had succeeded in one such claim against a local firm of accountants who’d denied us service on account of our gender beliefs, but who conceded unconditionally and settled in full before it got to court, apologising and paying a four-figure sum in compensation.)

.

16 JULY 2025 – WIN #4

Somewhat overshadowed by the extraordinary farce of the Sandie Peggie tribunal and the incredible meltdown of NHS Fife, this week saw a ruling that in this site’s opinion may turn out to have even more dramatic effects than that of the Supreme Court.

Newcastle United fan and season-ticket holder Linzi Smith was banned by the club in October 2023 after a complaint was made about her gender-critical beliefs. She hadn’t even expressed them in the stadium, but the club stalked her, investigated her social media history, banned her for breaching their “Diversity And Inclusion” policy and reported her to to the police for potential hate crime.

The club’s ban remains in place but in March this year the police apologised.

Admirably, though, Smith wouldn’t leave it there, and went to court alleging that their actions had not only been wrong but motivated by improper and unlawful bias, citing Northumbria Police (and in particular its Chief Constable Vanessa Jardine) over its participation in Pride marches and open support of gender ideology.

On Wednesday a judge agreed with her.

The judge’s findings were utterly, brutally and comprehensively scathing of the force’s actions, and merit extensive quoting. (The Chief Constable is “The Defendant”.)

(Below are some slogans from the march which Jardine found “uncontroversial”.)

We cannot see a way in which ANY public body festooning itself in pride flags and loudly proclaiming its “allyship” and allegiance to a toxically divisive movement and belief system like gender ideology could possibly survive a legal challenge on the basis of the ruling. All public bodies have a duty of impartiality, and Mr Justice Linden absolutely annihilated the idea that the promotion of “Pride” and its related views was compatible with that duty.

Northumbria Police immediately withdrew permission for officers to participate in any official capacity in the 2025 Northern Pride march, taking place today.

It also announced the removal of Pride livery from all police vehicles.

Within hours – Glasgow Pride is also today – Police Scotland had followed suit.

Though not everyone got the memo in time.

But any public entity which wants to ram trans flags and the like down the throats of its service users from here on will run into the same brick (not stone) wall.

The trickle of withdrawals from Pride will turn into a flood.

.

18 JULY 2025 – WIN #5

The body charged with issuing guidance on the implementation of the Supreme Court judgment in For Women Scotland, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, has come under sustained attack from transactivists ever since the ruling.

Its chair, Baroness Kishwer Falkner, is standing down, and her chosen replacement Mary-Ann Stephenson had been subjected to an extremely hostile and unprecedented interrogation earlier this month by transactivist MPs on the Women and Equalities Select Committee and the Joint Committee On Human Rights.

However, last night the minister responsible, Bridget Phillipson, overruled the two committees’ rejection of Stephenson for the job, despite the fact that Phillipson herself had previously been very trans-sympathetic, in another signal that the government knows which way the wind is blowing.

The decision followed Labour announcing its acceptance of biological sex as the determinant for all women-related matters a few days earlier, leaving the SNP isolated as the only party of government anywhere in the UK still refusing to meaningfully accept or implement the Supreme Court’s ruling.

But in woke-captured Scotland too, ordinary citizens are making the courts drag their politicians kicking and screaming to compliance with the law, and we can be sure that armed with the FWS and Smith rulings many more will do so if need be, and will win.

We haven’t even covered the latest developments in the Sandie Peggie story yet, partly because they’ve been so deranged it’s hard to know where to start.

But based on what’s transpired in the last three days in Dundee, we strongly suspect that the tribunal will also toss a bagful of hand grenades into the suffocating quagmire of “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” culture that made the life of a nurse of 30 years’ dedicated service a wretched misery for 18 months, as well as wasting untold millions of pounds of Scottish taxpayers’ money on scores of vastly overpaid non-jobs in which brainless idiots earn twice the salary of actually-useful people for doing nothing of any value to anyone.

(And all too often, even doing that with jaw-dropping incompetence. NHS Fife released its catastrophically ill-advised statement insisting it hadn’t assumed any wrongdoing by Sandie Peggie after a day in court which had revealed its senior staff in charge of the matter circulating emails which had already found her guilty and sided completely with transgender doctor Beth Upton before the investigation had even begun. By the time it concluded, under public scrutiny, she was grudgingly cleared on all charges.)

When taken together, however, the five watershed events detailed in this article have systematically detonated every one of the fundamental props supporting the capture of civic society in the UK by gender ideology.

FWS set the biological definition of sex into law. Our case enshrined the protection of free speech on trans issues. Allison Bailey ended the ability of organisations and businesses to discriminate against the gender-critical. Linzi Smith struck a deathblow to the infestation of every public body in the land with homophobic “Queer Theory” and enforced allegiance to it. And the confirmation of Mary-Ann Stephenson should ensure that the FWS judgment is fully implemented without fudging or backsliding.

The war is not yet over. While some will concede with the best grace they can muster, entities like the Good Law Project and a whole raft of activist “charities” and quangos lavishly funded by the Scottish Government will fight bitterly against reality for as long as they can in the name of self-preservation and their revenue streams.

But just as with the German army after Stalingrad, the die is cast and all they can do is slightly postpone the inevitable. The women (and men) who wouldn’t wheesht have won, and when the history books about the gender madness are written, the spring and summer of 2025 will be recorded as the time it all changed forever.

You should come back up to Scotland and put yourself forward for election. I don’t believe in everything you believe in and it is high time that natural occurrence is accepted once again as 100% normal between any two human beings (even those from the same country). The important thing is that we have trained (in this case journalism) honest people who will ALWAYS give their honest take on the issues of the day. How much healthier politics would be. It would kill cults, corrupt politicians, even empires stone dead.

I note that various press are stating that Swinney and NHS should put an end to the Sandie Peggie Tribunal case.

The simple fact is that only Sandie can end the case – either by accepting a settlement or by withdrawal of the action. She is wise to do neither because by continuing the case NHS Fife is being torn apart by their own pathetic witnesses. Their whole procedural errors are being exposed for everyone to see – and that is the outcome that Sandie wants.

There are plenty of legal types on X saying that NHS Fife can totally end this right now by basically throwing in the towel; closing their defence and letting the judgement go to Sandy.

Represented with branded banners, I identified
    – The Scottish Civil Service,
    – Greater Glasgow NHS
    – Lanarkshire NHS
    – Scotrail
    – Glasgow Life (wholly owned by Glasgow CC)
    – Scottish Water
    – The Fire Service

… as well as a mixed bag of quangos (photos of all available).

Given this week’s judgement against Northumbria Police, how can any public body be allowed to voice or endorse such partial support for Pride while so many of us are gender critical.

In particular, the NHS which given what we have see of NHS Fife in the Sandie Peggie case this week clearly cannot be trusted to treat people who don’t buy into the cult fairly (patients and employees alike).

    • Dave G says:

As a matter of strict law the Northumbria Police judgement does not apply in Scotland since the jurisdiction of the English High Court stops at the border. If somebody were to take, say, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to court on the same point the Scottish court would undoubtedly look at the Northumbria Police case and hopefully find it “persuasive” but unless and until we have a judgment from the Court of Session on the issue we cannot be certain.

BTW, I checked extensively during the march and couldn’t see a single police officer sporting pride ‘branding’. Hopefully, we will now never have test this with Police Scotland in a Scottish court.

But I would dearly love to see an NHS board tested on this in the Scottish courts. How about NHS Fife for starters and entertainment value? We would get to see the estimable Ms Bumba in action again.

Thank you for these facts, Robert Mellish. It is appalling that the Scottish Civil Service is officially present – not that there is a Scottish Civil Service – when I was a civil servant there were strict rules on public engagement with politics. Surely nothing is more political than official presence at a sexual preferences event when there are ongoing legal cases and Scottish “government” mired in the controversy?

Now, you and many others may interpret that as using the heavy hand of ‘colonialism’, but he saved the bacon of Scotland’s women that the SNP, Greens, Lib Dems, Labour, were more than happy, along with many others, to sacrifice. That is fact. It doesn’t suit the narrative, but it is legal fact – and moral probity in the face of utter misogyny such as we have not with witnessed for over a hundred years.

Great piece, Rev. I do hope that you, with all the other people who placed their heads above the parapet will be remembered in history for standing up to this new form of misogyny.

However, while I agree that the bad ship ‘trans’ has been holed below the waterline, although it will not sink immediately, the rest of the ‘woke’ pile of steaming dung is still causing problems. ‘Intersectionality’, as it is called in academic circles, is still rife, and everything is blamed on some characteristic – skin colour, language, etc. Other woke nonsense is still circulating, too.

We simply cannot afford to give unstable, even psychopathic, people leadership positions and unlimited power to do harm to others by claiming all kinds of discriminations that are, often, seated in the perception of the ‘victim’ rather than having any sense of external reality. Other things, like net zero, are impossible to achieve. We are so distracted by nonsense that we are not seeing from where the real threats are coming.

This stuff will destroy our society if we are not willing to face it down and stop giving it power over our lives. It is like the Hydra: cut off one head and more grow. It requires a stake through the heart to finish it – no sentiment, no sympathy, no empathy. It is far too dangerous and detrimental to our social, economic and political health to afford it any mercy.

One thing, though, that will have to happen after this ‘trans’ guff is defeated: just why have so many young women, and women, in general, been so take in by this utterly deranged ideology? That would be a course of investigation and study well worth a bursary and scholarship. It’s just too simplistic to suggest that females are more empathetic, although that is part of it. It is also too simplistic to offer the explanation that females are biologically driven to support males, though there may be truth in that, too.

Personally, and it is just my opinion, a lot of it has to do with many females loathing other women – far beyond rivalry – and especially older women. It must be internalized misogyny, to an extent, but it is more than that, even. It is as if many – not all – young women and girls of the last couple of generations deeply and unforgivingly resent and hate what they see as their fate as exemplified by their mothers and grandmothers; and that can come only from deep-rooted feelings of inadequacy as to what a woman has to be to exist in society at all, coupled with the forcing into the societal straitjacket from which their mothers and grandmothers, especially their grandmothers, have escaped.

The epidemic of body mutilation – cosmetic surgery – demanded by young women and girls stands testament to the truth that they are both conforming to societal expectations of them as females, while, at the same time, their inner rage cannot be chained forever and is being directed at older women who no longer follow, or never have followed, slavishly, the stereotypical expectations that imprison them.

I believe, and have believed since about 2015, that we are actually witnessing, ironically, a new ‘suffragette’ movement, a new female emancipation awareness that will spread outwards to encompass the entire world, and which will be unstoppable because what we have now no longer works for any of us, female or male, or for any society and world order. Threatening women with retribution or trying to take over their actual sex if they don’t obey and go back in their box, will only make matters worse and hasten the inevitable. This particular revolution will take some time, but it is already happening even as we speak.

The National is a disgrace as a national newspaper. Its pages are in vested with ‘trans’ dogma and its support of independence carried only as far as the SNP, and, even then, only some of the SNP. It is partisan and disgraceful. It wouldn’t recognize truth if it bit it on the bum.

What nobody seems to have remarked upon is the fact that, had Sandy Peggie not been one helluva strong lady, had she not stood up to her employers and that man claiming to be a woman, she would have been out on her ear.

She would have lost her job, probably had her pension reduced and lost other emoluments, would have been unable to find another job within the NHS and her reputation would have been destroyed utterly.

They are still trying to destroy her because she fought back against a policy that was illegal from start to finish well before the UKSC ruling. Her employers breached the work regulations, too, and her union deserted her.

This is the kind of of sh*t that women have had to put up with forever. All those fellow women who threw her to the wolves in favour of a man who pretended to be a woman and who would have been treating female patients, is so counter-intuitive and downright vicious and cruel that it is hard to find the words to describe them.

Sorry, but stupidity is only a tiny part of it: a shared belief system that had no basis in law, but which demanded – did not ask, but demanded and compelled – that women strip in front of this man. Nobody even bothered to find out what the law was, so captured and smug in their own virtue-signalling were they.

Nobody – none of her superiors, not her union, not the board, not HR or DEI – thought it even unfair for her to be treated in this way. Now, they are hoist by their own petard. They wanted to destroy one nurse for not bending the knee to what is a form of madness. Now they are discovering just how she felt, except that their ignominy is richly deserved for their vicious, illegal cruelty in trying to force her to change in a toilet while this man remained in the FEMALE changing room.

Lessons there for our woeful ex-civilisation and its appalling ruling class.

It’s interesting that our modern deluded witches should be men rather than women. Could it be to do with the increasing feminisation and infantilisation of society?

Dearieme, Dearieme, you’ve got that all wrong! Witches were neither bad, mad, nor deluded. They were practitioners of natural medicine, but because they were women that was intolerable to society. The problem we face now is that healthcare has been increasingly masculinised to the extent that it does way more harm than good (iatrogenic causes are the third highest killer after heart disease and cancer), not only that but they don’t even understand basic biology.

dearieme: accused ‘witches’ were nearly all women (albeit both men and children were also accused) but they were blameless of the crimes attributed to them and many were simply old widows or middle-aged women who made potions from natural herbs and roots, etc. and sold them to earn a living.

Can we say the same about these massively-entitled ‘trans’ identified males, particularly, with obvious sexual fetishes and paraphilias who want to breach female boundaries? We all knew what they were yesterday.

The difference between now and yesterday is that they, mostly, kept their sexual fetish indoors or in clubs, but, today, they want to force the rest of us (women) to pander to their sexual fetish and become part of it – again, without consent.

Even if all of this were not already highly illegal, enforced non consensual participation in someone else’s sexual fantasy/fetish/paraphilia certainly should be. Safeguarding specifically requires that other people’s non consensual enforced participation should be illegal, otherwise our children are not safe.

      • Lorn says:

Onlooker: In Germany, at the height of their ‘witch’ madness, men and children were sent to the stake as witches. It must have been the most gut-wrenching terror for an adult of either sex, but just imagine what not must have been like for a wee bairn! Men and children accusations were less common in Scotland or England, but, by no means, unknown. However, as always, the women were picked off because they could not stand up to the authorities.

I have always believed, through close study of the phenomenon in Scotland, that those in authority never believed in it in the first place. The common folk may have done, through terror, but, even then, vicious rivalry, jealousy, envy and the desire to take any goods or plot of land belonging to a ‘witch’ were just some of the reasons for the denunciations. For the authorities, it kept the populace frightened and obedient. It also allowed them to let the populace let off steam about political and economic and social conditions and steer it all towards hapless females who were considered expendable and pretty ‘useless’ by dint of their age and their sex.

When you read of the actual tortures these women endured, it is very hard not to come to the conclusion that sexual sadism played a large part, too. An inordinate amount of time seemed to be spent in examining and mutilating the women’s sexual organs. Some of the younger women went to the hangman or the stake with a child in their belly, the result of rape by a warder.

Every attack on women, everywhere in the world, at any and every era in time, seems to contain the same elements of sexual cruelty. Every attack on women and girls always contains the same whining from certain male quarters, too: what about the men? I have never claimed that there were no male victims of ‘witch’ hunting because, of course, there were. I do not have names off-hand, but there were some well-known German ones, in particular. Do you think you might be able to contain your evident misogyny long enough to refrain from personal attack?

      • Young Lochinvar says:

I’m getting to the stage of wondering why these “people” are being called male?

Before the pile on; they are most definitely NOT female.

But they are sad excuses for the male sex.

I reckon no matter where they started, stopped, lingered or just are that they should be referred to as transgender.

I remember years ago in a Star Trek Next generation episode robot Data notably addressed an audience as “ladies, gentlemen and persons of indeterminate sexual orientation”..

What has always annoyed me about all the gender crap was thatany disagreement or contrary opinion to what they wanted, even if it was just not supportive of it and not threatening at all, immediately branded you as transphobic and a bad person. I simply do care if a bloke wants to put on a dress and call himself a woman, but I don’t have to believe he is right and is a woman.
I am not gay, but simply saying I am not and saying that I am not attracted to men doesn’t make me homophobic the way the trans folk behave.
Thank god it seems to be calming down and the rules are now starting to be based on common sense again.
BTW I suspect the position of public bodies will be based on the direction that the SG has been pushing them, including the newly hired staff who have been pushing the agenda they have been given, it is doubtful that the majority of the women that actually work for the boards will actually agree.

Excellent article Mr Campbell. Summarises very well how the wheels have now been taken off the insanity bandwagon.

The transcripts of NHS Fife’s Kate Searle in particular bring into sharp focus how the NHS became a partisan lynch squad against Sandie Peggie. There was no justice, no fair play, just the absolute desire to destroy nurse Peggie professionally and personally.

Malice and abuse is extant in these transcripts and it seems utterly clear that this was supported by the body corporate.

Sadie Peggie has been put through hell and wrongly so by a publicly funded service provider who thus far has reportedly spent over £220k in their own legal fees alone. Add NHS staff participation time into the process, care disruption as referred to and the costs could be two, three or four times that already spent on legal fees alone.

And now there will be Sandie Peggies legal bill and compensation to pay. And they say finances are tight.

Finances are certainly not tight when you read about this and all of the other issues that have cost, and will continue to cost the public purse dearly.

But one last thought on the Sandie Peggie case. The doctor who colluded with colleagues and management to rig the system against Nurse Peggie should be referred to the BMA fitness to practice committee.

Far to much of this institutionally supported abuse. Thankfully though, as this piece shows, the tide has turned.

Swinney et al take note. Your days of squandering public money in a period of economic distress and standing against the weight of public opinion is coming to an end.

Spot on, Willie. What is just as disturbing is that this doctor actually believed that he was in the right, believed that he would be backed to the hilt against anything Nurse Peggie had to say and felt free to say the most anti biology guff whilst practising as a medical professional. But all this also played out under the umbrella of the Hate crime Bill, How far would it have got legally if the trans people could not claim hurty words victimhood in advance.
And had police not supported the trans movement and were not monitoring everyones tweets or posts and making arrests and cautions as if a possibility of pre-crime actuality was a crime without going to a jury or court first,

It would seem there was to some degree, preparations, foundations, funding and legislation laid down in advance for future abuse of womens and children rights to be undermined.

If the introduced pre planned changes to actual words in a language and new wording ‘clauses’ in laws encourages and incites a new form of non crime, that gives consent to police to monitor ordinary people as if they were on a terrorist watch list as suspected terrorist.
Any proposed changes to legislation or Statues under the “Scotland act” have to be passed and given royal ascent by the king of England.resting in Westminster parliament of Great Britain.

Personally to me It appears to be that all these new laws in Scotland that have been given Royal Ascent and then contested down south is likened to a game being played out,

Yes James, this is of course the reality in a colonial society which is run by external interests/values, as pointed out above in reference to the JPTi/Liberation Scotland most recent submission to the United Nations Human Rights Council under Resolution 57/12 on Local Government and Human Rights, viz:

“Scotland’s current status is best understood not as that of a constituent unit within a unitary or federal state, but as that of a modern colony administered by an external and unaccountable center of power” (JPTi).

      link to jpti.ch

And, as Cesaire revealed in colonial societies where a limited measure of so-called home rule is granted to a native population this merely provides an opportunity for the colonial power to exert even tighter control over the territory through additional civil servants being dispatched from the metropolitan capital to ‘manage’ the new assembly and government, always in the imperial power’s interest of course.

Never forget that. It’s a partnership – these stupid cunts “smarter than the average bear” do stupid shit and fuck everything up, then we have to turn up and fix it, like little Boo Boo.

    – water shortages in england are a lot to do with leaking pipes which have never been fixed for decades, because that is expensive and cuts into the profit margin, the return.

and the water they do have is full of shite because they cannot stop corporate criminals from doing what they like as that would be “interfering with the free market” or something.

And if they ever did have the guts to renationalise england’s water – you do realise who will be getting massive payouts to get “bought out” – yes, the incompetents who caused all the problems to begin with; it’s a win win, they get paid whatever. Note that no UK govt would ever have the balls to seize these nationally important critical infrastructure installations and jail the suits, no, they will stuff their mouths with gold while apologising to the city. But they won’t. Instead they intend to setup a new water regulator (toothless) – NB in business, we have “the price of doing business”, you will break the law as a simple consequence of pursuing profit; this is not a problem, as long as it is just a matter of fines – pass it on to the customer, or the shareholder, or just bankrupt the company – you need to be able to send suits to jail, to cuff smart men with patek philippe watches.

    – and yet they want to re-arm to have a go at rusha, and do force projection with carriers and subs and jet fighters, build nuke stations, get a new supernuke bomb … and they can’t do the fucking basics.

This level of utter incompetence never seems to get remarked upon, like it was normal, and all because of anglo delusional narcissism … they never got over the fact they are not an empire any more, so it plays pretend, hires a rental from the yanks and follows them around, in their reflected power and menace, acting like you are still important and not a bunch of fucking pricks, like you wouldn’t get your faces burst in any real fight with anyone who has any self respect.

Let’s see britain, on its own, say to the world, the US, the issies, the international community – “we will handle the houthis lads … stand back … we have this … ” – send a task force, beach landings, mass parachute drop. An across the board draft, starting with the public schools and oxbridge, to show leadership – the people who do most well out of this country/corporation/business enterprise, should be the ones to show maximum commitment to it.

Mr Swiney … always available to add the official mark to show devolved administration
      Policy, the ever useful tool.

The stark reality in any colonial society, based on extensive international evidence, is that the leaders of colonial institutions (and all institutions in a colony are colonial in nature/values) primarily serve the interests of the colonizing power.

      As Aime Cesaire wrote:

“do not seek to know whether personally these gentlemen …are or are not colonialists, because the essential thing is that their highly problematical subjective good faith is entirely irrelevant to the objective social implications of the evil work they perform as watchdogs of colonialism.”

    WHAT’S GOING ON?

“At great turning-points of world-history the relativity of our traditional measures and opinions manifests itself in a clear way. At these historical turning points those who had considered these traditional measures and opinions to be the firm ground of their personal and societal life, easily fall prey to a state of spiritual uprooting, in which they surrender themselves to a radical relativism, which has lost all faith in an absolute truth.” (Herman Dooyeweerd, ‘In the Twilight of Western Thought’.)

Think of Art History — eg Neo-Classicism versus Romanticism. Humanism is again clearly in crisis. It is currently struggling anew between its classical objectivistic, mechanistic, rationalistic polarity which presupposes the abiding normative laws of mathematics and physics — a clockwork UNI-verse model, if you like — and its subjectivistic, irrationalistic, personalistic polarity which radically rejects all normativity as it sinks into a black-hole of infinite flux — a haywire MULTI-verse model of alternative cosmic realities, if you like. Consider the recent Oscar-winning Michelle Yeoh ultra-postmodernist movie  ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’.

Earlier movies such as Space Odyssey 2001, Robocop, Bladerunner, Terminator, Matrix, etc had of course already confirmed a dichotomy between mechanistic law and personal freedom – a conflict between human autonomous personality and a natural science which saw reality as an uninterrupted chain of cause and effect.

We might also note here the portending dissolution of human normativity into potentially non-regulated acid-baths of experimental bio-engineering, transhumanism, AI consciousness etc.

The hyper-relativism of the subjectivistic trans polarity stunningly rejected the normative laws of biology. But it rejected also the normative laws of speech and civilised discourse which undergird the negotiated social peace upon which democracy is premised — hence its modus operandi has presented (counter-intuitively perhaps) as strident intransigence, governmental absolutism, raw mob power, infantilised hysteria. All symbolised by the iconic weapon of baby-pink-and-blue-painted baseball bats wrapped in barbed wire.

David Locher, in his 1999 online article ‘Unacknowledged Roots and Blatant Imitation: Postmodernism and the Dada Movement’ stated that “Postmodernism is essentially a neo-Dada movement, updated and focused more specifically on social philosophical issues.”

And elsewhere this quote from Locher:

“At the heart of postmodernism lies the assumption that most of the things that we take for granted are, in fact, simply illusions. […] In other words, meaning is arbitrary, relative, and subjective. Language is, in its own way, reality. What we refer to as reality is not knowable, and we live in the illusion that we are in touch with it.” (Postmodernism as Neo-Dada)

The above Locher observation brings to mind Dooyeweerd’s rather gnomic remark: “The walls of the absolutization of personal individuality have no windows.”

The influence of mainstream media such as the BBC has been perniciously overwhelming. Popular music has of course always played a (very welcome) subversive and catalytistic role. However, the cultural lightening rod power of certain pivotal celebrities such as the David Bowie in presaging the trans worldview has been obvious:

    SÙILEAN DHÀIBHIDH BHUIDHE

Nach air a bha an dà shealladh sna 70an.
Oir tha sinn uile a’ seinn òran Ziggi a-nis,
crochte mar gum biodh bho uèirichean-stèids,
a’ smèideadh gu bàidheil ri Mèidsear Tom,
fiamh-ghàire oirnn air sgàth nan camarathan.

    THE EYES OF DAVID BOWIE

He really had the ‘second sight’ in the 70s, didn’t he?
Because he’s sure got us singing Ziggi’s song now.
As we sway highly strung from invisible stage-wires,
and wave duly overcome to Major Tom,
and smile so convincingly for the cameras.

I agree that real nationalists are fighting a war on two fronts – the Westminster front and the Holyrood front – but let’s not forget just how many Scottish parliamentarians and others voted for the gender woo woo. Almost all of the parties, including the SNP, whipped their MSPs, in Holyrood, to vote this stuff through to reach the point of passing it, which, only with huge luck, failed, as the public started to voice its opinion on the matter.

From early on, I did notice that most of the middle-aged ‘trans’ identified men I saw were English, but it soon spread, and the Scottish parliament took it up with alacrity and gusto, so, please, can we just accept that we, ourselves, at least our elected representatives, our heads of public institutions and others, are directly to blame for what has happened since 2015?

The National was well-supported in our household, with a hard copy and an online subscription for the reason that it was Scotland’s only independence-supporting newspaper. That all changed last year when I was banned from commenting because (I assume) I challenged, on a regular basis, both the SNP stance on independence (non existent) and the gender woo woo. Having checked the comments rules, I went as far as I believed I could in pointing out the flaws in both policies.

Needless to say, after much name-calling and accusations by other contributors along the lines of: ‘bigot’, ‘disgusting ‘trans’ phobe’; ‘anti SNP ("Tractor" - Ed)’, among them)and not one of those name-callers was banned) I was banned from the online comments. However, I discovered that I was also banned from The Herald, presumably because they belong to the same group, although I had not commented there.

Having challenged this, I was met with silence. This is not a democratic Scotland, but a totalitarian branch of a state that is, itself, totalitarian. This is not a whinge; if I, essentially a nobody, can be banned, so can anyone who dares to question the status quo and the prevalent orthodoxies. Scotland is going nowhere until these bar stewards are ousted from office. The Peggie case shows just how far they are prepared to go to maintain hegemony.

The female prisoners who were horrified and traumatised by the male rapists sent into their midst, as sanctioned by the state.

The condoning of genital mutilation of our children and young people at the Sandyford Clinic were victims

Sturgeon enabled and condoned our public institutions, our schools, hospitals, rape crisis centre etc to become pervert safaris. Our politicians either doing it themselves or turning blind eyes to it. The hideous Maggie Chapman advocating the age of consent be reduced to 8 years. A wannabe pimp institutionalising the grooming of children into the transgender movement?

I know we can’t tar everyone with the same brush, but anything that is sexual at its base – and all, studies have shown that the adult men are steeped in fetishes and paraphilias – is dangerous, inherently, to all females and all children, so the very least we can do is to ensure that these men have no access to them.

@Stuart; This is the same drivel that Aidan has been spouting ad nauseam for many weeks, now. If it was doomed to fail, why did JPTI take it on? As an official interlocutor to the UN, it is its business to understand these matters, and it has said that Scotland’s case is strong.

And if, as Aidan has claimed here more than once, the petition was summarily ‘thrown out’ by the C-24 on presentation, why has there been no official announcement to that effect yet? Why has Craig Murray been talking to a number of members to see if one or more will undertake to sponsor Scotland and raise a resolution to the UNGA/Forth Committee to have Scotland recognised as a territory for the purpose of having its Petition for NSGT listing officially looked into by the C-24?

If you believe that Scotland does not meet the criteria, perhaps you could detail which criterion or criteria it fails on, and why?

I also watched Barrhead Boys video with Craig Murray, where it appears that the Russians are very interested in this attempt at gaining independence via the back door.

Now if that’s the case the UK government will have a field day pointing out how Putin’s Genocidal orcs are involved.

Still if you and others think that’s a braw idea, far be it from me to state just how bad that’s going to look.

      • Aidan says:

@Xaracen – I don’t know if you get this, but large organisations like the UN make announcements about the issues they are dealing with and don’t make announcements about issues they aren’t. In the say way that people announce getting married or buying a new house on social media, but don’t announce deleting their spam folder full of junk emails at the end of the week. Please provide some positive evidence that the UN has taken this on or continue to look ridiculous. The UN has the submission, that much is indisputable. They’ve had it for ages, so what has happened, who is looking at it? What correspondence has been received? Why is this all being hidden?

As to why JPTi has taken this on, they are a tiny likely cash starved organisation. Salvo has provided them with some of the donations they have raised over the years, that keeps the lights on whilst they do work they’re actually interested in.

      • Xaracen says:

@Aidan; I don’t know if you get this, but if they’ve made no announcements about it, how did you know that the C-24 had “thrown out” Scotland’s Petition for NSGT listing?

You just made it up, didn’t you. Please provide some positive evidence that the C-24 has officially rejected the Petition or continue to look ridiculous.

      • Aidan says:

Because JPTI posted on their website that the case of Scotland couldn’t be discussed at the C-24 conference in June, also confirmed by the lack of any mention of the petition or of Scotland in the minutes of the June session, which have now been released.

As I said before, even if I had every person who attended and who helped organise the conference sat in front of you with access to any and all documents that you wanted to look at, you’d still refuse to believe it because you’re determined to believe that 2+2=5 no matter what. Just know that aside from a few other fanatics, everyone else can see that this is hopeless.

      • Xaracen says:

But, Aidan, that is not at all the same thing as saying that Scotland’s petition was ‘thrown out’! You made it clear that Scotland’s petition was never coming back, even if a sponsoring member was found. You doubled down on it, in fact, and you’ve just done it again, above.

You clearly asserted the permanence of the rejection, but that simply isn’t true, at least not yet. The C-24 won’t meet again till next year, but by then it’s entirely possible that Scotland has had its territory recognised for NSGT evaluation from having been sponsored by an existing member in the meantime. And if not next year, then the year after.

You have been over-egging your argument for months, and you are still doing so.

Scotland’s case is anything but ‘hopeless’, Aidan. It’s not guaranteed, but it’s not dead either.

      • Aidan says:

@Xaracen – thrown out is a figure of speech, it’s not been printed out and physically thrown out of the door of the UN HQ in New York. What has happened is C-24 have said that they have no remit to consider it. That is directly contrary to what we were told was going to happen.

Now yes, if a sponsoring state can be found, and the General Assembly votes on it, that does provide a process for Scotland (or any other territory to be added to the list of NSGT’s). However, that’s not the big plan that has been built up to and which we’ve been told about over and over again. But what is required here is to overcome insurmountable challenges, for one thing the politics is stacked against Scotland. She can expect virtually no support from other countries. Secondly, the members of the United Nations have previously agreed with the UN charter and subsequent documents not to designate a territory in the situation of Scotland as an NSGT. So it isn’t going to happen.

There was an election in Japan yesterday where a far right party called Sanseito has become the 4th largest party in one of it’s elected bodies.

Given the parties controversial to say the least rhetoric and policies and seeing the likes of Reform UK as an influence, the party itself bears no interest but what is interesting is how a party that was only formed only 5 years ago has now become the fourth biggest party in one of it’s countries elected bodies.

Details of it’s rise is detailed in the below link:

    link to ghostarchive.org

    Details of this as follows:

Before emerging as the head of Sanseito, Kamiya had a brief and largely unremarkable stint in mainstream politics, including a term on the city council for Suita, which is located in Osaka Prefecture, and an unsuccessful run as an LDP candidate in 2012. After his failed candidacy, he created a YouTube channel called Channel Grand Strategy, which quickly gained a following for its hardline nationalist content and conspiratorial tone.

Through his channel, Kamiya positioned himself as a bold truth-teller railing against globalization, feminism, foreign influence and Japan’s political elite. By 2020, he had amassed thousands of followers — followers who would become supporters when he and a group of fellow right-wingers formally founded Sanseito in April 2020.

From the outset, Sanseito leaned heavily on YouTube and social media. This remains a core part of its strategy and appeal. The party’s online presence serves as both a megaphone and a funnel: Free videos and livestreams draw in viewers with health tips, anti-vaccine rhetoric and nationalist talking points, but the “real truth” is always said to be hidden behind paywalls. Followers are encouraged to become paying members — at rates far higher than those of traditional Japanese parties — in order to access members-only content, daily updates, regional chat groups and even “leadership training.” While the Liberal Democratic Party charges around ¥4,000 for a year, Sanseito demands ¥1,000 per month for regular membership and ¥2,500 for premium access.

This model accomplishes two things simultaneously. First, it creates a tight-knit ideological echo chamber, giving members a sense of belonging and insider knowledge while isolating them from outside criticism. Second, it generates significant revenue. These membership fees, multiplied across tens of thousands of recruits, have built a war chest that outpaces even established parties, all while maintaining the illusion of grassroots legitimacy.

From this, it does feel that the future of politics is in social media. Whether that is good or bad is another thing but it is happening and it is up to political movements to occupy this space as a way of moving forward.

It is of course nonsense to give a baby a gender as the only thing going on at that time are biological and what causes somebody to go down the trans route won’t have come into play yet. « The new report cites recent investigations into bullying and harassment in academia. The report stated that several respondents to the Khan Review “suffered extreme personal consequences, both to their careers and to their physical and mental health, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and extensive sick leave as a result of bullying, harassment and discrimination.

« “The failure to adequately support and defend these individuals is a stain on the higher education sector.”

« In reference to Khan, it emphasises: “This is not a question of ‘both sides’ behaving badly in a ‘toxic debate’, as we have no documented evidence of gender-critical staff or students advocating for or engaging in behaviours such as attempts to de-platform academics with opposing views.”

« In its recommendations, the report urges universities to “prioritise the pursuit of truth as the core principle underlying university education and research” and “help students to develop the ability to deal with robust disagreement as an opportunity for intellectual growth rather than a threat”.

    ‘PUBLIC TRUST’

« Writing in The Times, the Principal Investigator, Professor Alice Sullivan, said: “Sex is a fundamental category in all research concerning humans, from biology to sociology.

« “When certain facts become unspeakable, it doesn’t just hurt individuals, it compromises the integrity of scholarship. This weakens public trust in universities, science and scholarship, and ultimately undermines our democracy.”

« In response, a Government spokesperson stated that it is “introducing new duties on universities to ensure they are robust in promoting and protecting free speech on campus. It also comes alongside the firm steps the Office for Students is already taking, through fines and new guidance, to ensure universities remain beacons of academic freedom”.

    SEVERE FINES

« From 1 August, The Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act and associated Office for Students’ guidance will require universities to promote freedom of speech or risk severe fines.

« The OfS’s Director for Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom, Arif Ahmed, said: “The core mission of universities and colleges is the pursuit of knowledge. Free speech and academic freedom are fundamental to this purpose.

« “Students need to know that they can freely share lawful views and opinions, and be prepared to hear a range of views as part of their studies. This includes things that they may find uncomfortable or shocking.”

« Earlier this year, the OfS fined Sussex University £585,000, ruling that the university’s transgender policy had caused a “chilling effect” on the expression of lawful views on biological reality. »

When childrens Britanica is educating Kids that Scotland has been run by the monarch of England since 1603.
When you read the same message being provided by the houses of parliament,
When you read a source in wikisource that the monarch of England has run Scotland since since 1603,
When you read the Scottish claim of Right where by it States that a sister convention parliament to the Scottish parliament state that King James V11 was never king of Scots because he never took the oath nor was coronated.so the Scottish throne is vacant.

Apparently it has been vacant since 1603.
One wonders how a non-personal unshared union of Crowns of two separate kingdoms can both be present to order “commissioners” to start negotiations prior to the treaty of union to create the
Monarch of England the monarch of Britain parliament of England and Wales,

The political pillars of Sanity over the details of a union seem as far fetched as the Trans issue,

Where a man can join to be a woman by fiddling with some paper work is not unlike the union of two kingdoms whereby one monarch of England since 1603 can trans into two monarchs by fiddling some paper work.

    Hi

I am a Glasgow GP and I though I would appreciate a peak behind the curtain about what happened at the recent UK GP confernce in Glasgow. If you cant understand why a UK doctor wont say what gender they are have a look at this confernce motion.

the motion itself and the speaker is not particualrly troublesome but some of the responses are telling. start 1hr.43min
