Quoted for truth #10

Posted on February 24, 2013 by

Showbiz news from yesterday’s Daily Record:

“In a shameful confession that will shock their fans, cheeky TV duo Ant and Dec have admitted that one of them… voted Tory. The Geordie lads, back on ITV tonight on Saturday Night Takeaway, revealed all in a no-holds-barred interview in which they also said they’d taken drugs.

Asked about their political allegiances, the pair said they have both always voted Labour until the last election, when Ant voted Conservative for the first time. He told the Guardian’s Weekend magazine the decision would make his family in the North East of England “very angry”.

Ant said: “They certainly couldn’t give an argument for Labour for me at the moment – not a valid one. Then again, I’d struggle to give an argument for voting Conservative at the moment.””

It’s an understandable view.

As nobody has posted here yet, I thought I’d offer possibly a more important quest for truthieness. Looks like the BBC is coming under pressure from all sides, and check who is backing the action. Well flabber my ghats, its those pesky truthers.

Hahahahahaha!  Tony Rooke is up before the JP bench in Horsham for non-payment of a TV licence.  He thinks he has a 3-hour hearing.  Hahahahaha!  He’ll get five minutes in the sausage processor I suspect.

I used to live very near Horsham.  I almost wish I still did, to be a fly on the wall when that one plays out.

That spin is fall-down funny though.

Dear God in Govan.  When did we start worrying what Ant and Dec think? We’ll be hiring mediums and trying to communicate with the dead next.

Peter

The shameful part of that story is the expectation that everybody in their house, street, town would automatically vote labour. And always vote labour no matter what their policies were, no matter the abilities of the candidate. Just always vote labour.
   That is truly shameful behaviour.

He’s the one who stands on the right isn’t he?  🙂

Ant is the one on the left. He’s always on the left. Ant, left, Dec right. Always have been, always will be. It’s a brand thing. Images where they’re not thus arranged are a very great rarity.
I confidently predict that, one day, ‘AntandDec’ will be the Prime Minister of England.

I was brought up to vote Labour, the only party that looked after the working people, how that has changed and how I have changed!
Now I vote for the SNP, I am not a member but they have done wonders for Scotland, no matter how much the opposition harangue them, I certainly benefit and in 2014 I will be voting for independence as I will be voting for the SNP in 2016 election as no other party has any concern for Scots and their lives.
As far as Ant&Dec are concerned, I think ,many people could associate with them but unfortunately not share their wealth

@ianbortherhood
I checked, Ant stands to the right of Dec.  OK left as you look at them.

ianbrotherhood

@Chic-
Aye, they do. Kind of Siamese twins – they must go into a blind panic when finding themselves positioned otherwise.
Sam and Mark (promising and popular young CBBC presenters who will, in the fullness of time, replace ‘AntandDec’ when they become Prime Minister) do the same. There’s the bones of a PhD here – when did this start? Did Morecambe & Wise do it? Little & Large? The Two Ronnies? Cannon & Ball? Cameron & Clegg?

Jedward are UKIP supporters apparently. Never saw that one coming.
