Sad but true π
They would rather have Trump than Sanders. The democrats are following the Labour Party. Red Tories.

Obama/Clinton are responsible for the mass killing, maim, murder, rape, molestation and starvation of millions of innocent people. Illegal wars, banking fraud and tax evasion. Not given the right to basic human dignity. Crimes against humanity. Embezzling and misuse of $Trillions of public money. Bankrupting countries. Made people sick and tired and displaced. Caused the worse migration crisis in the world. Along with their associates in the UK and French Gov most of them should be in jail. Liars, cheats and greedy criminals. Along with their sycophant Press and misreporting. Lower than low, They could not stoop lower. ‘Psycho bastards’.
The American people made their choice, which should be respected. On balance Trump told the truth.
“Obama/Clinton are responsible for the mass killing…”
The focus of the cartoon is the Democratic Party, not the US electorate. The criticism is of the party for choosing the wrong candidate. It appears you agree with that criticism, so what’s your beef?
“The American people made their choice, which should be respected.”
Absolutely.
“On balance Trump told the truth.”
This, however, may be the stupidest thing any human has ever said.
Nice one Chris.
Meanwhile Donald Trump has a 16th December Court date accused of rape of then 13 year old girl at socialite sex party.

There’s no fool like and old Mule!
Obama/Clinton are warmongering criminal mass murderers. Responsible for deaths and maining of millions of people. Causing the biggest migration crisis in Europe.. They have embezzled β¬Trillions of public money.and tried to start a 3rd world war. They have disrespect for human rights and common basic dignity, Causing sickness, homelessness and distress to millions of people. They are craven habitual liars and the arch enemy of the people. They have caused bankruptcies in America, and all around the world. Bankrupted their country. Renegade on their broken promises, The lowest of the low for corporate corruption. Broken International Law. They have total disrespect for the rule of Law. Lied, cheated and used extortion and corruption to win elections. Encouraged their terrorism all around the world. The corruption of elite of abuse of power in Washington.
The American people made their democratic choice and that should be respected. On balance Trump told the truth and the American people responded.
Obama/Clinton are hated all around the world. They have betrayed nations and human rights and dignity. Along with their sycophantic, misreporting Press associates and their associates in the UK and French Gov. Most of whom should be in jail for crimes against humanity.

Surprising, Chris, to learn Sanders – the man arguing the case for the poor, the rural, the disenfranchised as well as middle class – polled more than Hillary yet didn’t get the nomination, a grave error of judgement by Democrats.
And once all the votes are counted it looks as if Hillary polled one million more votes than Trump, but the odd US Electoral College scuppered her election.
Chilling – I keep seeing uncanny similarities between Trump and Mussolini.

There are similarities between Obama/Clinton and Hitler. Craven disgusting criminal mass murderer who try to illegally stifle any opposition. Greedy craven criminals, along with their associates in other Government. Pitting people!s against people against the international interest. What an example to the world. It’s not Nationalism, sweeping the world. It’s getting rid of corrupt International Gov and their cronies who provoke and support terrorism. So nations can live in peace and harmony.

Keep the noise down would you…you can’t talk about peace and harmony…what about all those good old boy jobs in the military industrial complex? the arms manufacturers?
no, no, be quiet please, roll out Clinton and her backers for the next round of chaos, murder and mayhem. instruct the owned MSM to sell the party line to the gullible masses and…oh, wait…

Good luck to them.

Re media, I found a site yesterday which analyses the on line habits of users. Very informative, but perhaps the best piece of information was that 85% of all UK population still relies on TV for its’ main news. That is what we are up against.
We have to find a way to combat this
Usual brilliant cartoon Chris. Uncle Sam should also be pointing fingers at himself.
I just love the way the aptly named poster believes that Trump, an individual he knows absolutely nothing about is somehow preferable to Clinton. It is like picking between identical dogs. One of them has already bitten you, but you look at the other one which is already snarling and growling at you, and think this is the one you would feel safer with !
Unbelievable.
Maybe it’s time for the Republican elephant to pack its Trump and say goodbye to the circus? Off she went with a trumpety-trump, Trump, trump, trump.
Was the original 1956 version a premonition of events sixty years later?
Good cartoon
But for me it goes like this.
Sanders got shafted by DNC colluding with MSM to undermine him so Clinton gets in front, wikileaks leads to a resignation.
Sanders goes on attack, wikileaks show Podesta inclined to remind him of leverage. Sanders backs off due to potential blackmail and even backs Clinton because of it.
Common theme here is what the American people have now worked out. Clinton. She’s the Ass. Putting herself before her party and now Trump is in the white house. That’s what ones desire for their place in history will get you.
have we forgotten Blair and Iraq so quickly.

At the moment there are a few demos in US, kids mostly, young adults. Now, imagine Clinton had won and those demos were attended by mostly white gun owning males in their forties, pissed off with nothing to lose as their work pay goes down, job security out the window, the price of everything goes up and who’s kids have poor job prospects. they now realise the futility of the American Dream.
The clash of ideologies has begun as people start to realise that capatilism has eaten itself alive.
Do I have a solution? well, everybody wants to rule the world, don’t they….
Criminal Clinton illegally removed Sauders from the ballot. Would they have been better with a continuance or a clean break and a transfer over of power out of the stinking rotten swamp. Split? but not likely. Clinton financed by every criminal on the planet. The end result is probably a cleaner/break solution. Pay by Muslims to kill Muslims, using the US military as mercenaries. 10 years of it. It just stinks to high heaven. Every way but loose. A clean break might be better.
There are reports the demonstrators are being bussed in. Funded by George Soros who funded Clinton and funds Amnesty International. Clinton’s last stand and last parting shot. She is a really, really bad person.
Seems the Trump chump is already backtracking on his more outlandish promises. That will upset his more, ahem, enthusiastic supporters.
The right will destroy us all eventually.

Britainβs Brexiters have seized on the election of Donald Trump, arguing that it offers the chance to strengthen ties with the US, in an echo of the partnership forged decades ago between Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher.
Boris Johnson, the foreign secretary, has depicted Mr Trumpβs victory as βa great opportunityβ, emphasised the possibility of a post-Brexit trade deal, and called for Europe to snap out of its βgeneral doom and gloom?β¦?and collective whingearamaβ following this weekβs election.
Top satire, the eyes have it, shame and anger.
As we’re seeing, a tiny grain of compassion to Obama’s protection of family health..allows talk of the wall to continue on the other hand.
The Republican Party has had far more dangerous and extreme ‘influencers’ than Donald Trump. None made president, but they have made warmongers rich and religeous right wing friends powerful.
Like Brexit, Trump hasn’t been triggered yet. Let’s hope it’s not a machine gun.

I suggest anyone who thinks that Mr Trump could be reigned in by Congress should look at article 2 of the American Constitution. This man has been handed enormous power, which he will most certainly use.
The Presidents ability to initiate military action without consultation for up to 60 days remains and indeed was only changed to that time limit after the deceptions in Vietnam.
Mr Trump also has the power if he wished to veto or suspend Congress. No President has been daft enough to try,but what about Donald?

Bob, I understand that some people believe that directly after the inauguration, Trump will wrestle the military aide carrying the nuclear football to the ground in an attempt to press the big red button. I on the other hand am quite prepared to believe that he won’t.
Trump, Brexit, UK gutter press … the descent into xenophobic blood and soil nationalism and the violence associated with that type of thinking, is getting worse. This is shocking …
“Police have told Gina Miller … to avoid public spaces for her own safety. The millionaire businesswoman … has been told it is unsafe for her to go outside after her family was targetted with abuse. The 51-year-old complained to police after her children faced verbal attacks …. ”
This is becoming totally unacceptable.

Breastplate , I am with you on this.
The choice offered the American people was incredibly awful but to choose a Clinton would have been the worst choice.
From ‘ dodging sniper fire in Kosova’ , to Benghazi embassy and ‘we came , we saw , he’s dead Ho! ho!’ – the woman is just as deranged and dangerous as those who went before her.
Trump may surprise folk ,certainly the words he uttered about leaders around the world give me hope of change and we will all have to wait and see if they were only words.
I have great difficulty with the plethora of anti Trump articles in our media – not a word agin’ Hillary , just a nice picture of her in the great outdoors with her grandchild and daughter ‘ just a day after her defeat ‘ as though she had had some sort of massive life saving surgery and was bravely , braving the elements.
I would love to know , in a country where folk are living out of dumper trucks , just how much the hideous debacle cost – money talks right enough.
@Breastplate,
He would not require to wrestle the military aid to the ground. The American President is the Commander in Chief of ALL American military. The aide would simply hand him the box.

Just read a piece in the Independent, saying Trump is already making noises he is not sympathetic to funding the alleged ‘moderate rebels’ in Syria any more.
Everyone by now must be able to agree that for the last 5 years, Syria is a regime overthrow, led by USA, and backed by the West. It’s Syrians that have paid the highest price, and if Trump withdraws the money and firepower from Syria, and truly focuses on Da’esh, that has to be a win.
I think the real danger from Trump is for Americans themselves, because it’s the right wing nutters, he will have to rely on, like Palin, Giuliani and Pence. These are the folk that will know how to operate him for their own ends.
I have to say whilst Trump horrifies me, what I find really repugnant, is everyone in the UK acting like they have never heard this type of stuff here!
They are acting as if the Brexit filth never happened, or they don’t know about hatred peddled by our MSM.
The hypocrisy here is rank.
Does anyone on this site actually believe that the American public was down on Hillary due to her foreign policy ?
I think not. The USA has been bombing ,robbing and disenfranchising nations for the last 5 decades with only limited public admonishment at home. They do not care who the President bombs as long as it is said to be justified.
That is the problem now. Hillary is seen as the Establishment but Donald has promised them what ? No immigrants , no Muslims, America first, trade deals cut.A fresh look at defence and allies. A new beginning with their country at the forefront.
Sound familiar ?
We could go on and on. He has offered them radical solutions to major issues. He has appealed to the dark selfish xenophobic in the masses and it worked. Now he has to deliver. No iffs,no buts.
Yet ,apparently we should give him a chance
Dorothy Device, it would be great if there was a positive influence on American foreign policy by Trump or absolutely anyone for that matter.
If the American electorate wanted to occupy the moral high ground they wouldn’t have voted for the republicans or the
Democrats.
Many people seem to be able to think the worst of Trump and the best of Clinton.
I believe their using separate yardsticks on both candidates.Consistency is needed and people should be comparing the worst of Clinton with the worst of Trump or the best of both.
It is my opinion when people lose sight of this, they do themselves and everyone else a disservice.

Thanks for that Vestas. One of the salient points that struck me of the many that were discussed in that podcast was this notion of the ‘transition’ being the ‘democracy’ marker in the US when one administration hands over to another even if they have completely opposing views. The point one of them made was how that message is the one POTUS is focusing on during these protests against Trump’s victory.
The difficulty though is that this particular candidate aided and abetted by mainstream journalism was given a platform to incite hate and divisiveness that has terrified large parts of the American population. So, should ‘they’ now just ‘accept’ what was completely ‘unacceptable’ and more saliently the POTUS himself suggested that Trump was such a terrible prospect in light of his aides having to take his twitter account away from him, how could he be considered responsible enough to be given the nuclear codes?
That’s some level of cognitive dissonance from the POTUS and any democrats that are saying ‘give him a chance’? So is it therefore right to continue to protest and take whatever actions (peacefully and actively fighting against his presidency and the rise of the far right that this has emboldened within the US) necessary that people see fit in light of the utter hatefulness that his candidacy promoted?
I think they have a legitimate right to protest. Ah wouldnae advocate violence (it seems the violent stuff is coming from Trump supporters), but it seems to me that it is the ‘correct’ response from those who he has actively threatened and has garnered groups such as the KKK as advocates of his message, who are now ‘acting out’ what they now see as a ‘legitimate’ agenda to persecute those that Trump has pointedly stated are the ‘enemy’. He has in effect put American citizens (documented and undocumented) into a state of fear.
And what is remarkable is that they have no one representing them at the higher levels of government, no one is prepared to make the very point that he is ‘still’ that dangerous and unstable individual that he was before Tuesday, when they too were loudly rejecting his narrative, but now that his is POTUS elect? They are circling the wagons to protect the hierarchy of the institution but none of them has come forward to challenge Trump to unreservedly apologise and denounce what is being ‘acted out’ in his name.
This takes me to the wider global governments’ response. We know there was/is a ‘general’ concern about Trump. Some have expressed opinions and others not and I noted yesterday/the other day on here many were criticising Nicola for making comment at all, in her support of Clinton etc. I’ve not read it yet but Kevin McKenna has an article, the headline is unambiguous, he also thinks that she has erred in this regard.
This is where ah part company from those who ‘view’ it as a faux pas on Nicola’s part.
I see an individual prepared to retain a consistent position in her political values who recognises ‘danger’ when she sees it. She will not ‘align’ and neither should she with a demagogue. Neither for expediency or a ‘favourable’ view from the new ‘King’ should she ever bow and lose her integrity. People have spoken about this as if Trump’s vindictive and shallow and has no ‘favourable view’ of our cause. Here’s the thing I could give two fuck’s what his view is of our cause. He is not the decider of my fate.
We could all do to learn from the past, those that meekly stood by and appeased the rise of dictators allowed those dictators to crush their own populations’ will because of (corrupt) trade deals and non interference (when it suited). But the stinking hypocrisy of those that suggest that Nicola Sturgeon keep her mouth shut in terms of her preference in any kind of ‘working relationship’ with a new POTUS are the very same people who fail to see that they are being played with by the same ‘elites’ who on the one hand say ‘don’t vote for her/him’ cause they are bastards and in the very next breath say ‘oh get over it, give them a chance’.
Their aim has always been the same ‘divide and conquer’. Well, congratulations those that have a ‘beef’ about Nicola stating an opinion, you just fell into an old trap…what you missed was a human being with integrity calling a bastard a bastard…and meaning it.
I think the popular vote (irrespective of Clinton the corrupt one) legitimises the protesters and if POTUS and POTUS-elect don’t start acknowledging the very real harm that has been caused by Trumps invective. The good ole’ YooEssofAy will implode. They are hugely underestimating the fight back. Much like us in Scotland, those of strong values and good intent know danger when they see it and they are fighting for their freedom to have their values upheld too.
I have literally just seen this on Washington Post:
‘They came in their thousands β the children of immigrants, transgender individuals, women and men of all different ages and races β to demonstrate against President-elect Donald J. Trump on Saturday in New York.
Some held handwritten signs like, βShow the world what the popular vote looks like.β The throng chanted, βNot our president!β
In one of the largest anti-Trump demonstrations since his election on Tuesday, a mass of people marched from Union Square in downtown New York to Trump Tower, the headquarters and home of Mr. Trump.’
The peaceful protests are spreading through all the big American cities, not just NY.
