That photograph fairly defines not just the election or the referendum, but Scotland’s recent history.

The future is always in our children. We need to ensure our children are brought up to believe in what is right, what is just, what is fair. Give them the best start in life possible so they can live and thrive in an independent Scotland.

Thank you to the person who took that photograph. You did very well.

The ladies in the polling place insisted that I unfold the bike where they could watch it this time.

I like the fact that the ‘Rangers’ top was retained for Cameron.

Looking forward to casting my vote later. I don’t think I’ll weep as I leave the polling station, like I did in September, but it will feel damn good.

Our MP is Charles Kennedy it isn’t possible to get a more self-serving MP typical of unionist MPs throughout Scotland

Up and at em! Just voted for Stuart Donaldson in West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine. Just the buckets to pit oot. Cup of Lapsang and a rowie and jam and that’s me set for the day. Alarm already set for 3am tomorrow when I’ll probably have a single malt for breakfast.

It is the image of the campaign for me. It captures everything that our campaign is about, hope, aspiration, courage & a better future for our kids.

The creativity which has been applied to it is amazing as well, there’s a really good ‘take’ on ‘Les Miserables’ – ‘Les Espoirs’ which, if my Google translate skills are correct, translates as ‘The Hope’

If anyone has any doubt why they are voting SNP today then all I can say is vote for ‘The Hope’, vote for a better future for this brave wee lassie.

Off to vote to make Scotland’s voice stronger in Westminster. As Argyll is the last place to declare we won’t know until lunchtime tomorrow if we’ve managed to win back the seat from the Lib Dems. How great will it be if the last seat declared in Scotland is for the party who have Scotland’s best interests at heart. Hopefully, it will be a final slap in the face for those who think we should get to the back of the bus and eat our cereal.

I have cast my vote for Stuart McDonald and sincerely hope that enough others do to see the back of McClymont who never did anything good for his constituency in the last 5 years.

Day…….Already we’ve heard a transcript of news from that day….plus the radio speech made by the King…….Later on Kaye’s got a phone in lined up for us. She want’s our memories of V.E. day………….. Aye they can’t talk about politics but can try and influence listeners to vote for a Unionist party by evoking memories of Britains greatest Day…….As Alan Bissett said “Vote Britain”

I would like to propose a suggestion regarding the picture at the top of this thread.

How about doing before and after versions?

The one above being the before and simply titled with the date it was taken. And getting another done with 2 piles of red, white and blue rubble/ash in place of the 2 knuckledraggers, with the date 8th May 2015.

Put them side by side in a WOS frame and i’d pay good money for one.

Don’t you know that it was not just the UK that had solidarity, Yoda? Many Republican Irish fought in UK armed forces as did the non-UK Isle of Man and do not forget the non-UK Bailiwicks of the Channel Islands who were put under Hitler’s rule.

BTW: The UK never did stand alone as some historians claimed – the entire British Empire stood behind them as did the Free French, Free Poles and many, many others.
