Kenny MacAskill had a piece in the Scotsman yesterday attacking the Greens. It finished with a very pointed remark endorsing support on the list for any real party of independence.

I doubt Salmond is joining the AFI – with three of it’s top candidates being Tommy’s old team, it’s pretty obvious they’d not like anyone that’s a bigger name than him (sorry Craig Murray, but most folk simply don’t know you … yet).

If he is standing – and that’s a big “if” – it will be as an unaffiliated independent, probably on both a constituency seat and the list for his own stamping ground.

Alex doesn’t make ‘GIRUY’ type announcements, or ‘We’re guilty as sin but we’re going to troll you to let you think we’re innocent’ type statements or tweets – Alex Salmond, Statesman, is above all that, both politically and as a person – but I just hope it’s a little something to satisfy us all [everyone that knows what’s been taking place since late 2017] and is also something he can get his teeth into.

Alex Salmond is a world-class leader and deserves to be in the thick of it, enjoying himself, and doing what he does best – working towards an independent Scotland.

My brother bought a Betamax and the family still remind him of it! Folk had to shift quickly, as you might need to do.

I would also like to think Alex is standing for election in May. Perhaps on an ‘anti-corruption’ ticket and a vote to clean up the mess created by his successor. I hope this is connected to AFI, and to their commitment that:

“AFI shall also campaign for a simple majority of the popular vote for pro-indy parties across both the constituencies and the regional lists, at the “Independence” election, and for such a majority to be understood to be a mandate for independence itself.”

Can’t see Airdrie and Shotts really. But if a few other MPs were jump ship to stand on the AFI list, there would be several by-elections. A WM seat would give parliamentary privilege which, we now know, Holyrood doesn’t have.

You’re a better man than I am, Kenny, if you venture into that turgid, immoral sewer again. I’ve been in – out – in -out and for the past few months I have been *OUT* of Tw@tter with a capital “O”.
It does take a wee while for the withdrawal symptoms to dissipate but the end result is well worth it. (I said earlier I have been “doon” a bit due to the present Scottish political scenario, but by crikey, had I still been on Tw@tter, I rather think my current funeral plan would have come into force.

N.B. I am *NOT* wishing to make light of *anyone’s* possible mental problems in todays day-today life, but I can honestly say that the sheer impossibility of having anywhere near a reasonable discussion on *ANY* subject on that poisonous platform simply drags one down to their levels.

In the old days of Usenet, I remember an oft quoted piece of advice:
“Don’t get down in the dirt and wrestle with a pig. You will only end up covered in muck, and besides, the pig enjoys it!”

As true today as it was all those years ago.

But mind this was the Alex Salmond who took the YES movement from 23% to 45% in 2014.

He has been absolutely quiet for the duration of the Hellish stitch-up, but I bet you this much…

Every SNP MP and MSP along with small Ian Small, Wee Ginger Fud, and a dose of the Sturgeonite McWokeists will be so glued to the television in 4 minutes time that there noses will be stuck on the glass.

Put the Rt Hon Alex Salmond in front of a microphone and on our tv screens for the next 7 weeks and he WILL HAVE 20 PRO INDY MSPs holding the balance of power and holding First Minister Angus Robertson’s feet to the fire.

Time to keep the SNP honest. That means cleaning out all the excrement.

    Thank you Alex.

I’m not sorry. If the SNP had honoured members’ rankings on the list Joan would have headed the list and I would have voted SNP on the list. But they allowed that wee cheat Emma Harper to leapfrog into first position by bleating about her diabetes, despite her having managed to secure election in the past without playing the disability card.

She also leapfrogged over Paul Wheelhouse, who has a more serious disability than diabetes, but who refused to “self-identify” as disabled because, yes, he had succeeded in getting elected in the past without needing to play the disability card.

Emma is woke and will sell her sisters down the river. She is at the top of the list by a blatant cheat, and I will not vote SNP on the list with her on the top. No way.

So I’m glad to have alternatives. She’s poison, and at the top of the list she poisons all list votes.

BUT we cannot let the Tories in, otherwise Holyrood will just get shut down. Could Wings in some way be involved in supporting a move against her? Who could lead it?     It is interesting to note just how rattled some supposedly pro independence parties are behaving. Just a few minutes ago, Ross Greer, when interviewed on SKY news, said;

QUOTE “This is the very public meltdown of a disgraced has-been.”

He then continued to smear Alex with innuendo and suggested wrongdoing of some unspecified kind.

To hear such words coming from a political nobody, is truly indicative of the contempt which people like Ross Greer and the Green party have for the people of Scotland AND the independence movement.

Just remember what Ross Greer has said, when you cast your second vote. No second green votes ever, ever again.

Perhaps when Ross Greer has held an actual elected MP seat for more then twenty years, actually COMPLETED an honours degree, actually worked as an oil economist, actually won an MSP seat by election (and not because he is chums with folk), actually been First Minister of Scotland winning successive elections, actually lead a political party, actually gained a MAJORITY in the Scots Parliament, Actually gained a section 30, actually held a Scottish independence referendum, THEN, and only then might I even consider taking the wee jobby seriously.

Anyway, this is great news. I didn’t leave the SNP, the SNP left me, it seems Alex Salmond thinks the same.

But she has never won the constituency – only the list and is now number two on the list because of the preferential treatment given to woke diabetic Emma Harper.

Oliver Mundell is the current constituency MSP and garners votes by sucking up to old ladies in care homes – his electioneering might have been damaged due to Covid restrictions this year.

If Alba have any sense, they’ll employ the Rev to run the media side of things. He has the experience, knowledge and savvy to run any kind of media campaign better than anyone else involved in Scottish politics.

We’re in with a shout, let’s not fuck it up. Get the right people in.

Makes total sense – I agree.

Aye, thoroughly disgraceful from a talentless wee jobby. I guess he has just realised the unqualified and non-experienced gravy train he has been on frae school, has just come to a shuddering halt. Not many wee boys his age with NO QUALIFICATIONS get paid 65K a year. Nae wonder he is so bitter and lashing out.

I think, in time, both he and the Green party will come to regret their behaviour today.

Well, that will be stupid then, since their will be no pro indy super majority without the SNP. I despise NS, but WILL now definitely vote SNP on the first vote and ALBA on the second, to make sure the ALBA candidate gets elected on the list.

I haven’t visited this site for a couple of weeks, I was that depressed with the state of Scottish politics. This has cheered me right up.

Alex Salmond might not be to every taste. But he’s a patriot and a believer in both his country’s freedom and individual freedom.

I will be proud to vote for him, and I hope he is successful.

I’m ecstatic! A pro-indy political party i can support with all my heart & conscience and my favourite 2 pro-indy sites in WOS and link to indyposterboy.scot

I’m all politically tooled up again so bring it on. We now need a clearly set out voting guide for each area. And i don’t think we should be promoting the Greens as a first OR second vote anywhere.

At least now if we achieve the majority and a referendum is held, or indy declared LOL!, there will now be folk involved in making sure London does not ride us rotten.

PS: I’ve already blocked one snp arsehole on twitter less than 10-minutes after Salmond’s announcement for his negative attack on Salmond & the Alba Party. And that’s *EXACTLY* what i’ll be doing with *ALL* negative snp sycophants.

Aye! A week really is a long time in politics.

I’m in. Looking forward to the launch. Suddenly independence is within sight again, and now we have a goal. Hold your nose, vote SNP on 1st vote, and ALBA on the second, and get a pro independence supermajority – potentially with ALBA as second biggest party in the Scots Parliament.

Re Greer, when people were trying to make political careers via publicity trips to Greek beaches (Humza Yousef did one too) Greer took himself over and said that God had told him to open Europes borders, I’m being entirely serious here, same was as Blairs ‘God told me that I’d done nothing wrong’.

These people are globalists and there is some serious money behind them, expect the flak around AS to become really intense.

What are the possibilities of Alba as a future coalition partner with SNP?

I hope now than the ISP and AFI will gracefully accept that the Alba Party – cos AS is leading it – is the only serious List party in town.

Aye, me too. Excellent, excellent news, though some on here seem to think they can just not bother voting SNP. That won’t work, as is laid out on the ALBA website. 1st vote SNP, 2nd vote ALBA.

We should also vote tactically, in regions where say ALBA stands but ISP or AFI doesn’t then the ALBA candidate should get the List vote. Or where ALBA isn’t standing the List vote should go to ISP or AFI, and so on.

Lets maximise the pro-indy List vote, that doesn’t include the SNP or the Greens, by using this technique.

Great news today . Will any disillusioned former or current SNP parliamentarians “ defect” to join up with Alex Salmond ?

    Reply
  261. Wally Jumblatt says:

Welcome news of course, but this doesn’t not mean the removal of Nicola and the Harpies.
Is AS is genuinely saying vote for your independence candidate to win the constituency, and vote ALBA fot he 56 other seats, he is telling people to mostly vote SNP

    |He should just have said vote for the best candidate in your constituency and leave it at that.

There are a lot of people who still think vote SNP and hope to remove Kranie by stealth or consensus.
You can’t eradicate Stugeonism in that way, you have to confront it, defeat it and humiliate it. After that you can be conciliatory if you must.

So, do not vote for pro-Sturgeon candidates for MSP, and let the chips fall where they may.

The future is going to be won with an alliance of all colours of the political spectrum, not by the fanatics but by the moderates.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but Alex has made a miscalculation, the Sturgeonites are still strong in many parts of the country.

Wokery has taken a strong hold everywhere and i think we may be talking to ourselves here.
As I said earlier the whole apparatus needs to be dismantled and re-assembled…. as someone once said, “the levers, the gears and the wheels”. Better to completely expose the criminals, tell all he knows to the press and the courts, they will never be moved by a political joust, expose them and let the people tell them to go.
