It thought it was cock-of-the-walk. Thought that getting friendly with the bossman with the axe would help. Oh, it won’t. Dear me, how sad.
When will they ever learn?
They’ll launch another THE VOW con, at the last minute, pending how Electoral Commission postal vote “sampling” goes. Its all about UKOK language. We canceled Xmas little turkey, you’re not governed by England Scots this is a Union, BBC Scotland is impartial, Stop saying red tory, Jim Morphy is bigger than Jesus, SNP bad etc
This aspect of the campaign is farcical with all the unionist parties all giving it “Vote so and so get (insert bogeyman of your choice)” It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t a complete pile of bullshit. What a way to choose a government. “Vote Schmote” makes about as much sense.
Labour in guise of a good guy (Santa)wielding the threat of the axe if we don’t vote for them. Labour councils (Labour in Scotlands only remaining power base) have already started to axe services (mental health support services), imply that services are bad (NHS & education) & refusing to implement good things done by Scotgov (free school meals, extra teachers). In this way they demonstrate that they can carry out their threats if we vote the wrong way.
For me, this sort of pre-emptive action by the labour party ensures that I will vote & encourage others to do so at council elections just to make sure they are kicked out of office. It is time the people said no more!
Trying to work out who Santa is? Chris has put a definite identity in the face, but who can it be? The answer’s there, but I just can’t see it – (must go to specsavers!)
I don’t know about Turkeys Chris but I could name a few chickens in the Scottish branch of London Labour.
Also playing catch-up on the “Newsnow” website.
I noticed a couple of stories I thought I would share.
First, congratulations go to Patricia Gibson, who will represent the SNP in North Ayrshire in the up and coming GE, she will go head to head with Labour’s Katy Clark.
And Drumchapel Food Bank is running out of provisions due to high demand. So if you are in that area you could maybe hand something in to help them out.
Love the cartoon, I don’t think that some of those Turkeys knew what they were voting for, well I do hope they like what they got.
Just as well Turkey is relatively cheap they will be eating cold stuff for a while to come.
O/T, Nicola will be on Question Time this week, from Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham. Caroline Flint and Hezeltine are among the panelists. Should be very entertaining! Great work again Chris, like Turkey’s voting for Xmas but getting Thanksgiving!
Excellent Chris
As posters above all give their interpretations , 10/10 everyone .
Looks like Cochers dressed in reed , thinking ” FFS Millibland , you can tell them t vote anyway you like , your numbers up Millibland , I’m gonna get DC back in “
The cartoon certainly seems to resonate with what is happening between the Scottish people, and the real major companies in general.
We were told …especially by Cameron on his visit to the rigs a year ago, that the ‘broad shoulders’ of the UK would be good for Scotland. Fast forward one year on, we now have the oil companies scrambling for the exit in some oil fields, irrespective of how many job losses will incurred by the people in the North East of Scotland.
It was also mentioned in one of the papers last week (forgive me, I really can’t remember which one), but there was the veiled threat that if the SNP gained ground in Westminster politics and looked like changing the ‘dynamics’ of the UK (hinting at possible Independence for Scotland somewhere down the line), that the Banking industry is slowly making preparations right now, in moving assets and jobs to London. Nothing has even happened yet, and already the Banking industry is off. So there we go, so much for the warnings about leaving Scotland if we voted ‘Yes’; they’re still doing it even though Scotland voted ‘No’.
(Given a quiet moment from gutting a garage and studies, I’ll see if I can find the article. The Spectator ??? …something like that. Leave it with me (unless someone else read the same article)).
But anyway …Chris’s cartoon certainly hits the mark
Austerity is like hitting your head with a baseball bat. When you stop you will most certainly feel better. But why bash your head with a bat in the first place?
“Business creates wealth, wealth that trickles down to the rest of us” was failed actor, president Reagan’s infamous borrowed myth.
Here is the reality – the bastard rich keep it hidden, and government policy and civil servants help them do it. Now we know the result is never-ending austerity.
Many NO voters will certainly be feeling like turkeys now. Ah well, they had to believe “The Vow”, without realising it was nothing more than a nasty little joke, pulled straight out of a cheap Christmas cracker.
Will watch it later, now I’m having some friends over. We’ll probably talk about the dismal skiing (cross country) conditions, thence to weather, climate, climate change, climate change politics…
We have our GE coming up in April so we’ll probs talk Finnish politics but I’ll probably end up enlightening my Finnish friends about the UK GE as well. Especially the situation in Scotland and its possible wider implications. đ

Pertinent. A nice analogy.

Love it!
Nae wonder they’re all talking turkey – because they’re all chicken! Skwawk skwawk đ
So clever.
Following on the bird theme:
It’s not only the The Labour Party chickens that are coming home to roost:
They are Donald Ducked and their goose is cooked… I’ll get my coat.
Ha ha, how very apt. Well done Chris.
Cracker.

Does this mean home rule is off the menu… Is it to be Cold Shoulder, pressed tongue and appease porridge only…
Good analogy Chris
Labour in guise of a good guy (Santa)wielding the threat of the axe if we don’t vote for them. Don’t believe the threats-get rid of them all.
Thanks Chris đ

Ho Ho Ho. Brilliant as always Chris. All the WM parties are turkeys anyway. Deciet , lies, smoke and mirrors . Only fooling the foolish.
Could Santa be Donald Findlay QC? Is that a wig he is wearing?

If so, it is Cockers.

Could you please provide the link without archiving it? I can’t play video clips on archived pages.
Anyway, I thought the idea of archiving was to avoid clicking unionist MSM sites, thus depriving them of page views = advertising revenue.
The indy site you archived should get as many direct page views as possible. đ
