This aspect of the campaign is farcical with all the unionist parties all giving it “Vote so and so get (insert bogeyman of your choice)” It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t a complete pile of bullshit. What a way to choose a government. “Vote Schmote” makes about as much sense.

    Good analogy Chris

Labour in guise of a good guy (Santa)wielding the threat of the axe if we don’t vote for them. Labour councils (Labour in Scotlands only remaining power base) have already started to axe services (mental health support services), imply that services are bad (NHS & education) & refusing to implement good things done by Scotgov (free school meals, extra teachers). In this way they demonstrate that they can carry out their threats if we vote the wrong way.

For me, this sort of pre-emptive action by the labour party ensures that I will vote & encourage others to do so at council elections just to make sure they are kicked out of office. It is time the people said no more!

Don’t believe the threats-get rid of them all.

    Thanks Chris 🙂

First, congratulations go to Patricia Gibson, who will represent the SNP in North Ayrshire in the up and coming GE, she will go head to head with Labour’s Katy Clark.

Could you please provide the link without archiving it? I can’t play video clips on archived pages.

Anyway, I thought the idea of archiving was to avoid clicking unionist MSM sites, thus depriving them of page views = advertising revenue.

The indy site you archived should get as many direct page views as possible. 🙂

The cartoon certainly seems to resonate with what is happening between the Scottish people, and the real major companies in general.

We were told …especially by Cameron on his visit to the rigs a year ago, that the ‘broad shoulders’ of the UK would be good for Scotland. Fast forward one year on, we now have the oil companies scrambling for the exit in some oil fields, irrespective of how many job losses will incurred by the people in the North East of Scotland.

It was also mentioned in one of the papers last week (forgive me, I really can’t remember which one), but there was the veiled threat that if the SNP gained ground in Westminster politics and looked like changing the ‘dynamics’ of the UK (hinting at possible Independence for Scotland somewhere down the line), that the Banking industry is slowly making preparations right now, in moving assets and jobs to London. Nothing has even happened yet, and already the Banking industry is off. So there we go, so much for the warnings about leaving Scotland if we voted ‘Yes’; they’re still doing it even though Scotland voted ‘No’.

(Given a quiet moment from gutting a garage and studies, I’ll see if I can find the article. The Spectator ??? …something like that. Leave it with me (unless someone else read the same article)).

But anyway …Chris’s cartoon certainly hits the mark

Austerity is like hitting your head with a baseball bat. When you stop you will most certainly feel better. But why bash your head with a bat in the first place?

“Business creates wealth, wealth that trickles down to the rest of us” was failed actor, president Reagan’s infamous borrowed myth.

Here is the reality – the bastard rich keep it hidden, and government policy and civil servants help them do it. Now we know the result is never-ending austerity.
