And does anyone seriously believe that in the aftermath of Independence it will be carry on as normal for any of the No cabal? Labour will have to reinvent itself. There is likely to be a new centre right grouping. Will there be a place for the Liberals at all?

I know Jonah Brown holds himself in the highest esteem – he is the saviour of the world after all – but unless he is topping a party list he isn’t coming anywhere near a parliament near us any time soon. The Labour party is about to tear itself apart. He is on the wrong side of history. With few exceptions, electorates move on. All political careers end in failure ( Enoch ). This imbecile’s was no different. New Scotland needs new blood. Not an old guard of second rate rentseekers.

Now one way to ensure he doesn’t float to the top of the pan ( sorry ) would be to insist in our new parliament that MSP’s have a full time job as MSP only. That would certainly keep him out of our hair.

The do not want the Financial centre in London reformed in any way, it suits them fine for their money deals, just as it is.

They do not care about Scotland, they do care about the possible reform of the financial institutions in Scotland, which if done would effect them if it grows, and may in turn effect them. But mostly is an old pal act.

Let’s just avoid them. The media would love ANY kind of trouble, just so they can blame that ‘alicsammin’ and the ‘NATS’, as usual. This man became delusional quite some time ago. Does he not realise that it is because of him and the other Labour, “Big Hitters”, moving to the right and becoming indistinguishable from the rest of the Westminster Mafia. All three parties of which are now united under the accurate banner of a unified group calling itself, “Better Together”, and their fighting wing, “Project Fear”, in which we have strange bedfellows like the Loyal Orange Order, George Galloway’s Respect Party, the UKIP and the BNP. We even see them pleading with Elizabeth Queen of Scots to intervene in a democratic campaign between her two kingdoms.

Whether Gordon Brown and the rest of the Labour, Tory and LibDem big hitters believe it or not, win, draw or lose, their careers in Scotland can only end in tears – for them. Imagine the reactions of the NO voters who, by either being fooled or frightened into their choice by the obviously empty promises of the Better Together Unionist Party, (for that is what it has become A united Party), when the coming austerity cuts bite and the NHS, education and other good SG policies are snatched away if their NO votes result in a still dependant Scotland. The alternative being those Big Hitters sitting in Holyrood voting against the best things an independent Scottish government is attempting to achieve. Win draw or lose these big hitters are Yesterday’s Men & Women and are so by their own hands.

Have a really successful day, MajorBlodnok. The best tactic, as you say, is to avoid the Orangemen’s march. This potentially aggressive act will only further sully the NO cause – and actually is symbolic of the intent, attitude and elements giving it energy. It will speak volumes to any DK’s, especially if YES ignores it and remains calm.

    @ Patrick Roden

Patrick, I just submitted a comment on the Herald page, basically telling Magnus Gardham I loved him, and “welcome on board, brother etc.,” when the article was pulled and a wee message popped up saying the article was an error blah blah. It has been replaced by the usual gardham guff.

But someone was smart enough to make a screen-grab: see Murray McCallum at 09:19

Better Together, the only unified political party that dangles a carrot on a stick in front of their victims and whacks them on the rear with the same stick while holding onto the carrot for themselves.

Got a King James Bible themed £2 coin in my change this morning which carries the 1st 6 words of the opening line of the Bible-
“In the beginning was the Word” – which made me think.

In the beginning was the word, and the word was Yes.
But then along came a bad word and this word was NO.

    Then the trouble started.

No kicked the yes word and said ‘be afraid’.
But Yes replied and said ‘afraid of you, aye that will be right.

But No persisted and kicked Yes again and punched him.
‘Be afraid’ threatened No, for you are too wee, too poor, and too stupid. I am the Boss.

But Yes replied ‘Till now, you have been the Boss, but myself and all the other Yesses are fed up with you for you have been a very corrupt and greedy boss and we’ve decided to make our own decisions from now on.

No was very angry and started to shout abuse and threats.

But Yes turned away and ignored the ranting No who fell into a rage and swore vengeance on Yes for having the audacity to stand up to him.

Then the yesses decided to have a vote to restore their right to be an independent people.

But many were afraid of the Boss and had listened to his threats.
Others were members of the Boss’s family and wore his colours, while others still, had made friends with the Boss who had rewarded them and so they would not join the Yesses.

But there were too many who had suffered badly under the Boss or who did not agree with the Boss’s crooked ways, for he was a liar and a thief and treated the poor and the sick badly.

No continued to threaten Yes but Yes and his friends by now had stopped listening to No.
Yes told everyone of how good life could be if they were free to make their own decisions and keep all their wages.

The Yesses knew this was the way to go.

But No couldn’t stand the thought of losing all the money he had been taking from the Yesses so he fought against them.
No was a formidable foe and he had many friends.

The struggle between Yes and No
    continued for a long time . . . . .

The DM is on the rampage now. The online English version has several unbelievable articles. One by Michael Gove ( don’t make my parents foreigners to me) which I consider to be inciting racial hatred of all foreign people. Another by Quentin Letts telling us Salmond’s hatred of the English is because he was dumped by an English girl in his youth (it must be true it’s in the headline!), and an implication SNP policies will lead to violence. And on and on.

This foreigner thing is scary for us in England. With a yes vote I think attitudes will change to us.

Mind you a no vote and everywhere I go I just know I will get mocked for Scots being feart.

Please don’t let them mock us, folks.

    O/T

Sorry but just got to get this out or I’ll burst.

I’m so fucking angry at the lies and deceit of the British colonial government. I grew up trusting the BBC for example. Always felt that that was the channel to watch in important moments. Once this is over, we will NEVER watch it again. Cancelled the Scotsman weeks ago.

I’m so proud of the people who live in Scotland.

    I’m so nervous. Can’t sleep, can’t eat, keep crying (I’m a football watching bloke – I don’t do crying).

Freedom is so close. This is the defining moment of my life. I have lived and breathed for the freedom of my country since I was about 10. Please please don’t fuck it up now, Scotland.

    Oh God, crying again.
